We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst with a strong background in the banking domain, particularly in mortgages and mainframe systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies and plans for mission-critical banking applications. The role demands in-depth domain knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience with legacy systems.

Responsibilities

Understand business and system requirements for mortgage-related products and services.

Design and document test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test data based on business and technical requirements.

Execute manual and automated test cases across various phases of testing

System, Integration, and UAT.

bullet icon

Perform backend testing on mainframe systems, including validation of batch processes and data.

bullet icon

Participate in requirement and design reviews to identify and mitigate potential quality issues early.

bullet icon

Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure high-quality delivery.

bullet icon

Analyze test results, raise clear and concise defects when appropriate

Lead defect triage meetings and manage defect lifecycle through resolution.

Provide test estimates, track progress, and report testing metrics.

bullet icon

Ensure compliance with QA processes and standards.

Mentor junior test analysts and support knowledge sharing across teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to carry out test design review to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Automate complex user stories as part of the sprint and build a robust Automation Test Suite.

Skills

Must have

Required Skills and Experience:

bullet icon

6+ years of experience in QA/testing with a focus on Banking/Financial Services.

bullet icon

Strong mortgage domain knowledge, including origination, servicing, underwriting, and regulatory compliance.

bullet icon

Solid understanding and hands-on experience in Mainframe.

bullet icon

Experience with batch job testing, file validations, and data reconciliation.

bullet icon

Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA.

bullet icon

Strong SQL skills for data validation and test data preparation.

bullet icon

Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC methodologies.

bullet icon

Ability to work independently and lead testing efforts for projects.

bullet icon

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

bullet icon

Qualifications:

Proven experience of a minimum of 6+ years of manual testing.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Willing to work in the Australian time zone if required.

Knowledge of working with various automation tools and/or other comparable technologies.

Knowledge of UI Automation using Selenium, Cucumber, and Page Object.
