Project description

Volvo Cars' development centres heavily around software (SW) and in our next generation vehicles on SPA2 Platform, we take a giant leap into the future by launching a capable centralized compute platform, hosting most of the active safety, driver support and vehicle motion control SW. In our next generation vehicles, we are building a computer-in-the-car architecture, a key for enabling innovation within areas such as Vehicle Motion, Advanced Connectivity, Machine Learning, and Autonomous Drive.
Within our team(s), we develop and maintain the HIL Rigs and CI Framework to enable development, verification and validation of software-oriented products, to enable and support our organization Vehicle Tophat to deliver a high quality, high performance, safe and stable SW product to the end customers. These HIL setups are built upon a robust and automated test infrastructure. Using these state-of-the-art test setups, we enable the organization to provide quality assurance on the SW that is integrated, tested and released in a production-oriented CI Flow. This leads to early debugging shifting left reducing costs and reducing time to market. This leads to early debugging, shifting left, reducing costs, and reducing time to market.
In addition to that, we update and maintain the test vehicles built on the production E/E platform. These test vehicles are used as additional and complimentary test beds to secure the end-to-end verification of the customer functionality. We also work with fault tracing and resolving the issues on the customer vehicles that are running on public roads.

Competence and Technical Skillset:
• Experience from SW platform verification and validation, including middleware
• Verification in HIL test beds, test vehicles and customer vehicles at system and functional level
• Working knowledge SWDL and diagnostics on embedded systems
• Experience in troubleshooting on HIL systems like dSpace, Vector, National Instruments
• Experience in fault tracing, diagnosis and troubleshooting on end-to-end systems on vehicle level
• Knowledge in vehicle communication protocols
