Support an iconic Australian brand as they seek to replace and modernise core trading and clearing platforms.

Responsibilities
bullet icon

Design and implement Non-Functional test assets to ensure desired level of quality and test coverage.

Support test planning & approach, using own in-depth technical analysis of non-functional specifications, requirements and solution architecture.

This is a hands-on role that will work with project team to define, design and deliver all testing work for Non-Functional Tests that include Performance, Alert and Monitoring tests, Disaster Recovery Testing, Backup Restoration Testing and Resiliency Testing

Collaborates across stakeholders involved in product, systems or service design and development to enable comprehensive test coverage. Identifies improvements in requirements, design or specification processes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of testing.

Establish traceability and coverage through effective mapping of test cases & scripts to acceptance criteria as defined in user story

Apply best test engineering practice, and supporting tools and technologies to specific features and projects

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

8 to 10 years in Non-Functional software testing.

bullet icon

Knowledge of Financial markets (including products and transaction lifecycles)/BFS Domain

bullet icon

Working experience in Capital Markets / Trading domain

bullet icon

Sound technical understanding of Performance Engineering, Non-Functional testing and analytics.

bullet icon

Strong technical experience in working with testing tools such as JMeter or K6.

bullet icon

Demonstrable working experience in Java Language (read, understand and modify custom Java based scripts) and test automation frameworks.

bullet icon

Demonstrable working experience in setting performance test framework for large-scale web applications, micro services using industry standards and Open-source tools.

bullet icon

Demonstrable ability to analyse complex technical requirements, review architecture documents and solution design, and determine appropriate performance test approach and best engineering practices based on technical design.

Demonstrable working experience in code repository & version control tools such as Gitlab

bullet icon

Exposure to Chaos testing or hands on experience on AWS Fault Injection Service to simulate resiliency testing on AWS managed services.

Ability to debug complex performance issues with respect to code or capacity with limited analytics available.

Demonstrable working experience and an advocate for Agile methodology, and Agile delivery toolset such as JIRA

Demonstrable working experience where vendor product delivery (Hosted in cloud) is involved and has validated its integration to legacy systems with regards to all Non-Functional attributes (including security)

Hands on experience in cloud technologies (AWS managed services) where application have been successfully validated with regards to non-functional aspects.

Demonstrable understanding and/or working knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps
