We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of a secure, AI-driven data retrieval platform using Microsoft Fabric. T
his role will focus on enabling Copilot to access and retrieve client data from various archival systems upon business user prompts, while ensuring compliance with Zero Trust Architecture principles.
The solution will leverage OneLake as the central data lake and integrate with legacy and big data archives including IBM Content manager ondemand, OpenText data suites and others

This is a strategic role within Switzerland's largest investment bank, contributing to the modernization of client data access and digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement a Microsoft Fabric-based solution that enables Copilot to retrieve archived client data via natural language prompts.

Design and enforce Zero Trust Architecture principles across the data access and retrieval pipeline.

Integrate and federate data from multiple archival systems into OneLake.

bullet icon

Collaborate with data engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant data flows.

Define and document architectural blueprints, data governance models, and access control policies.

Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of data ingestion, storage, and retrieval processes.

Stay current with Microsoft Fabric, Copilot extensibility, and AI-driven data orchestration trends.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or similar data platforms in Banking domains

bullet icon

Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, identity and access management, and data security best practices.

Hands-on experience with OneLake, Data Factory, Power BI, and Microsoft Purview.

Familiarity with archival systems in Banking domain

bullet icon

Experience integrating AI assistants (e.g., Copilot, Azure OpenAI) into enterprise data workflows.

Proficiency in data modeling, metadata management, and data lake architecture.

bullet icon

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.

Experience in financial services or regulated industries.

Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).

Experience working in Swiss or EU-regulated financial institutions.

Knowledge of data residency, FINMA compliance, and GDPR.

Familiarity with Copilot Studio or custom Copilot plug-in development.

Background in data mesh or domain-oriented data architecture.
