Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Data Engineers.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Provide L3 production support for Digital Banking applications, ensuring high availability and service reliability.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production incidents within agreed SLAs.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring application issues.

Support application deployments, production releases, and change implementation activities.

bullet icon

Develop and support application enhancements using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

bullet icon

Analyze application logs, SQL queries, and system behavior to identify and resolve issues.

bullet icon

Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams during incident resolution and project delivery.

Monitor application health and proactively identify potential production issues.

Prepare technical documentation, incident reports, and operational procedures.

Participate in release planning, production support activities, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Skills

Must have

6-9 years of experience in application development and L3 production support.

bullet icon

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.

Experience working with XML and SQL.

bullet icon

Experience supporting enterprise Digital Banking or Banking applications.

bullet icon

Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.

bullet icon

Experience working in HPUX, Linux, or Solaris environments.

bullet icon

Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.

bullet icon

Experience supporting production releases, deployments, and change management activities.

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
