We are hiring for projects in the Middle East. There are many opportunities in the region. Our team consists of frontend and backend developers, data analysts and data scientists, architects, analysts and project managers.
The Consultant will be a critical member of the Enterprise Architecture & Platform Engineering section within the IT Department, focused on driving developer-centric solutions that enhance productivity and streamline workflows. This role requires a senior developer with deep technical expertise in software development combined with a solid understanding of cloud engineering practices.
The consultant will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to explore innovative technology solutions while ensuring efficient management and security of our technology assets.

Responsibilities

Architecting Robust Solutions:

Design and implement scalable, high-performance architectures that support agile development practices and align with organizational strategic objectives.

Lead the creation of standardized deployment patterns for strategic programming languages, including .NET and Python.

Enhancing Developer Experience:

Engage directly with developers to identify pain points in their workflows, advocating for solutions that minimize developer toil and maximize efficiency.

Champion initiatives that elevate the developer experience, driving awareness and adoption of tools and processes that empower the development community.

Driving Cloud-Native Development:

Leverage advanced development skills to influence cloud engineering efforts, ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also developer-friendly.

Collaborate closely with cloud engineers to establish best practices and patterns that facilitate seamless integration between development and cloud operations.

Creating Standardized Patterns:

Develop and document reusable solution patterns that can be consistently applied across various projects, fostering a culture of innovation and standardization.

Ensure all architectural decisions support long-term scalability and maintainability, aligning with organizational best practices.

Managing Project Lifecycle:

Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of projects, from requirement elicitation to deployment, ensuring alignment with ITIL standards and organizational policies.

Employ structured methodologies for planning, execution, and risk management to deliver high-quality solutions that are fit for purpose.

Facilitating CI/CD and DevSecOps:

Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines that ensure high-quality software delivery through automated testing and deployment processes.

Advocate for DevSecOps practices, embedding security throughout the development lifecycle to safeguard applications and infrastructure.

Building Internal Developer Platforms:

Architect and develop an internal developer platform that enables self-service cloud environments, providing developers with the tools they need to innovate rapidly.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and prioritize features that enhance the developer community's capabilities.

Collaborative Innovation:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and IT leadership, to foster collaboration and ensure alignment on technology initiatives.

Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements, promote best practices, and evangelize the benefits of modern development approaches.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Create comprehensive documentation for all solutions, patterns, and processes to ensure clarity and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Lead training sessions and workshops to educate the development community on new tools, practices, and architectural patterns.

Experience:

Bachelor or master's degree in computer science or related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

Development Expertise (.NET/Python): Deep proficiency in software development with a focus on creating robust, scalable applications. Must demonstrate recent hands-on experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.

Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Terraform, Azure, and AWS, with the ability to integrate development solutions into cloud environments.

Familiarity with Tooling: Experience with tools such as APIM, Kong, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Power BI, AKS, and EKS.

DevSecOps Practices: Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices, automated testing methodologies, and security integration in the development lifecycle.
