About the Role

We are seeking a creative and user-focused UI/UX Designer to join our OptumCare Delivery Web Team. In this role, you will help design and optimize digital experiences and internal tools that empower care teams, operational staff, and internal users across the OptumCare ecosystem.

You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to design intuitive, accessible, and scalable web interfaces that improve workflows, reduce friction, and enhance overall user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

As a Java Full Stack Developer:

Participate in the design, development, and deployment of complex, enterprise-grade web applications.

bullet icon

Review requirements and system analysis documents to ensure completeness and technical feasibility.

bullet icon

Design and document solutions that follow agreed-upon design patterns, coding standards, and best practices.

bullet icon

Collaborate with the QA team to support functional testing, defect resolution, and release activities.

bullet icon

Work with the Deployment Lead and peer developers to ensure smooth project deployments.

bullet icon

Maintain proper use of source control (e.g., Git) and ensure delivery of all required technical artifacts.

Mentor junior developers, sharing technology and application knowledge to build team capability.

As a UI/UX Designer:

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business and user needs into effective digital experiences.

Design intuitive, accessible, and responsive web interfaces aligned with OptumCare's design standards.

Conduct user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing to refine and validate designs.

Design user-centered interfaces for internal web applications and support tools.

Translate complex workflows into intuitive wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions.

Develop and maintain design systems and reusable UI components.

Collaborate with developers to ensure design fidelity and responsiveness across devices.

Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design in all digital solutions.

Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback, analytics, and business needs.

Skills

Must have

Required Qualifications

bullet icon

8+ years of experience in UI/UX design for web-based or enterprise applications.

bullet icon

Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and responsive design.

Experience working in Agile or cross-functional product teams.

bullet icon

Familiarity with HTML/CSS and front-end workflows (coding not required).

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
