As a senior technical leader, you will shape custody strategy, set engineering standards, mentor teams, and collaborate with security, compliance, and leadership stakeholders. You will play a key role in safeguarding private keys, strengthening transaction controls, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of mission-critical digital asset infrastructure.
Design and architect secure digital asset custody solutions, including hot, warm, and cold wallet environments
Build, manage, and govern Key Management Systems (KMS) leveraging MPC, multi-signature, and HSM technologies
Develop and maintain blockchain integrations for networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Layer 2 solutions
Own the end-to-end private key lifecycle, including secure generation, storage, rotation, backup, recovery, and decommissioning
Define and enforce secure transaction workflows, covering signing policies, approval hierarchies, thresholds, and monitoring
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for custody architecture, blockchain security, and applied cryptography
Lead security practices, including threat modeling, risk assessments, security audits, and incident response activities
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as FCA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FATF guidelines
Drive system reliability, scalability, and resilience, including blockchain node infrastructure, observability, and disaster recovery strategies
Establish and maintain standards, technical documentation, and best practices for custody and blockchain engineering
Mentor and guide engineering teams, influencing architectural decisions and long-term platform strategy
Must have
Professional experience in software engineering, security engineering, or distributed systems
Deep, hands-on experience in digital asset custody, blockchain platforms, or cryptographic systems
Proven experience acting as a technical lead or SME for complex, security-sensitive platforms
Advanced knowledge of public-key cryptography, key lifecycle management, and secure signing mechanisms
Demonstrated experience with Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Layer 2 or emerging blockchain networks
Strong understanding of custody models, transaction mechanics, fee models, and blockchain consensus behaviors
Hands-on experience with MPC, multi-signature schemes, HSMs, and secure enclave technologies
Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant systems in cloud or hybrid environments
Proficiency in one or more backend or systems languages (e.g., Go, Rust, Java, Python, or similar)
Strong understanding of security architecture principles and defense-in-depth strategies
Experience leading or supporting regulatory audits and certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)
Expertise in threat modeling, vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response
Proven ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams
Comfortable engaging with security, compliance, legal, and executive stakeholders
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-relevant insights
