An opportunity is available for a Senior Quality Analyst to join our client, a leading Australian financial institution, as a key contributor to the Test analysis, design, and Test Execution of their OTC derivative clearing platform. You will be part of functional quality assurance team of the Calypso platform, with focus on end-to-end testing of IRD, Fixed Income asset classed including trade lifecycle validation, settlements, EOD Batch across functional, regression and release testing, in close partnership with BA, development, platform and operations teams.

Responsibilities

Design, execute and maintain functional, regression and UAT test cases for Calypso.

bullet icon

Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle for Interest Rate, Fixed Income products covering Trade capture, lifecycle events, novations, terminations and clearing flows.

bullet icon

Automated trade booking, Re-booking to validate trade workflows, including trade migration and data integrity checks.

bullet icon

Validate static data, market data inputs, pricing and valuation impacts.

bullet icon

Test EOD and scheduled-task processing; verify outputs, reports and extracts.

bullet icon

Reconcile trades, positions and reports between Calypso and upstream/downstream systems.

bullet icon

Raise clear, evidence-based defects and drive triage through to closure.

bullet icon

Build and run automated regression packs using CATT where applicable.

bullet icon

Support test planning, change-request coverage, test summary reports and release sign-off.

Work with platform engineering on testing calypso cloud migration.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

5 to 10 years overall QA/testing experience in capital markets with 2 to 3 years’ experience on Calypso

bullet icon

Strong hands-on functional /configuration knowledge of the Calypso platform.

bullet icon

Hands-on testing experience in Swaps (IRS/OIS/CCS), Bond, Repo products.

bullet icon

Proven ability to understand, validate and test end-to-end trade lifecycle within Calypso.

bullet icon

Good knowledge on various calypso objects like Workflows, Filters, Report Templates and Task Station

bullet icon

Test market data setup including curves, quotes, feeds and validate their impact on pricing, P&L, and reports.

bullet icon

Experienced in testing schedule tasks, batch execution from scheduling tools like Control-M

bullet icon

Hands on with trade, position and cash / security reconciliation between Calypso and downstream/related systems.

bullet icon

Solid test design, execution and defect management in release-driven cycles.

bullet icon

Ability to analyse test failures and reconciliation breaks to root cause.

Exposure to CATT (Calypso Automated Testing Tool).

Experience with AWS Cloud, Database migration and Calypso version upgrades
