We are seeking a talented Business Analyst.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders from both your IT Division and aligned sectors to define, document, and translate business requirements into actionable software specifications. You will be a key advocate for business value, ensuring that our software solutions meet the needs of our users and contribute to the overall success of our operations.

The Department involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like API’s, artificial intelligence and cloud solutions are also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.

You will join the Post Trade IT section, responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market IT applications (in-house and package) used worldwide, covering Front Office (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back Office (Summit, Calypso…) and serving several sectors or Business lines.

The FX IT division works across the full value chain to sustain business activity and enable its acceleration (thru integration of new financial products, optimizing and automating front to back business processes).

This specific role aims to work on the Calypso back office package for our FX IT division, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the “run the bank” function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.

Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from various stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and objectives for FX and Money Market Business in Calypso.

Work with the Product Owner (PO) if any on this project to prioritize requirements and decompose them into detailed user stories, ensuring a clear roadmap for development.

Translate requirements into comprehensive functional specifications, including detailed descriptions of user interactions, data flows, and system behavior.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure that the software design aligns with the functional specifications and meets the defined requirements.

Provide functional expertise to the development team, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the business processes and user needs.

Research existing solutions, both internal and external, to determine if they can be leveraged to meet the business requirements.

Understand technical constraints and participate in software design discussions, ensuring that the solution is feasible and aligns with the overall system architecture.

Ensure the functional quality of the software, including participation in functional testing and providing functional support during production.

Analyze the impact of functional changes on current production Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).

Contribute to Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) activities by providing user scenarios and supporting functional testing efforts.

Contribute to deployment activities by providing functional pre-requisites and performing post-deployment checks.

Support team members in their functional activities, train new joiners, and help resolve functional issues.

Ensure the seamless integration of the software into the existing IT infrastructure, working closely with the Functional Architect.

Skills

Must have

Master or Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Programming & Systems Analysis/ Science (Computer Studies) faculties.

Candidates should have minimum 5 years experience in Business Analysis activities.

Knowledge of Static Data, Workflows, Confirmations, Settlements, Messages / Swift messages, Positions, Accounting, Corporate action, Filters, Reporting Framework, Reconciliation features.

Understanding of financial assets (FX, Money Market, cash products) and trade lifecycle.

Experience with regulatory reporting (e.g. HRF, NORIA, MMSR).

Experience on Back Office systems

Experience in interfacing systems

Familiar with requirements life cycle management, analysis planning and monitoring, requirements' analysis and design definition.

Hands-on experience as liaison function between the onshore IT business lines and offshore technical teams and as primary functional support for development team
