The project is a Trading and Position platform Implementation for Commodity products.

You will be part of a Top Initiative for this commodity client.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work on several type of commodity products and learn a new trading platform.
You will have the ability to showcase the work directly to the End users.

The team is responsible for the integration of a trading application (Orchestrade) used for:
• Pre-deal origination workflow and post execution monitoring and life-cycle management.
• Dedicated workflow, configuration of the platform, supporting business
• Leverage strategic standard risk systems
• Integration with Operations, Finance
• Reporting, Reconciliation
• Accounting

The application is Orchestrade:
- Orchestrade is in .Net (C#): Natively connected to Excel
- Database: Microsoft SQL
- Delivered In-House or Hosted (Amazon Web Services)

You will be part of the development team responsible for the migration of the new trading platform.
You will act as a senior .NET developer.

Role Purpose
The Accounting Stream Lead will be responsible for leading the Accounting workstream within a strategic Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) transformation programme to replace Endur with Orchestrade. The role ensures that accounting requirements, financial controls, and reporting processes are correctly designed, implemented, tested, and embedded within Orchestrade for Power, Certificates, Gas, and Biomethane products.
The Accounting Stream Lead will act as the key interface between Finance, Accounting, Risk, Back Office, IT, and the Orchestrade implementation partner, ensuring the solution supports accurate, auditable, and compliant financial outcomes.

Own accounting scope, priorities, roadmap, and dependencies

Represent Finance and Accounting requirements within the broader Endur replacement initiative

Ensure alignment between Accounting, Risk, Front Office, and Back Office processes

Accounting Requirements & Solution Design

Gather, document, and challenge Accounting and Finance requirements covering:

Trade accounting and lifecycle postings

Mark to Market (MTM) and unrealised / realised P&L

Accruals, deferrals, and revenue recognition

bullet icon

FX revaluation and remeasurement

bullet icon

Fee, tax, and charge accounting

Drive Accounting solution design in Orchestrade, ensuring alignment with accounting policies and standards (e.g. IFRS / local GAAP)

Review and validate accounting design and configuration documents

Orchestrade Accounting Configuration & Integration

Oversee configuration of Orchestrade accounting components, including:

Accounting events and posting rules

General Ledger (GL) mappings

Accounting calendars and close processes

Subledger outputs

Work closely with integration teams to ensure accurate and controlled feeds to ERP / Finance systems

Ensure correct accounting treatment for Power, Gas, Biomethane, and Environmental Certificate products

Testing, Reconciliation & Financial Control

Lead Accounting testing activities including SIT, UAT, and parallel runs

Ensure reconciliation between:
