The project is a Trading and Position platform Implementation for Commodity products.

You will be part of a Top Initiative for this commodity client.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work on several type of commodity products and learn a new trading platform.
You will have the ability to showcase the work directly to the End users.

The team is responsible for the integration of a trading application (Orchestrade) used for:
• Pre-deal origination workflow and post execution monitoring and life-cycle management.
• Dedicated workflow, configuration of the platform, supporting business
• Leverage strategic standard risk systems
• Integration with Operations, Finance
• Reporting, Reconciliation
• Accounting

The application is Orchestrade:
- Orchestrade is in .Net (C#): Natively connected to Excel
- Database: Microsoft SQL
- Delivered In-House or Hosted (Amazon Web Services)

You will be part of the development team responsible for the migration of the new trading platform.
You will act as a senior .NET developer.

Role Purpose
The Risk Stream Lead will be responsible for leading the Risk workstream within a strategic Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) transformation programme, replacing Endur with Orchestrade. The role will ensure that risk measurement, control, reporting, and oversight capabilities are correctly designed, implemented, and embedded within Orchestrade for Power, Certificates, Gas, and Biomethane products.
The Risk Stream Lead will act as the primary interface between Risk, Front Office, Back Office, IT, and the Orchestrade implementation partner, ensuring robust, transparent, and auditable risk processes are delivered and adopted.

Risk Requirements & Solution Design

Gather, document, and challenge Risk business requirements covering:

Market risk (exposures, sensitivities, VaR, MTM)

Credit risk and counterparty exposure

Position monitoring and limits management

P&L explain and risk reporting

Drive Risk solution design in Orchestrade, ensuring alignment with Risk policies and market best practices

Review and validate functional designs and configuration decisions

Orchestrade Risk Configuration & Implementation

Oversee configuration of Orchestrade Risk components, including:

Market and credit risk calculations

Curves, indices, and valuation methodologies

Limits structures and alerts

Risk views, dashboards, and reports

Ensure accurate valuation and exposure handling for Power, Gas, Biomethane, and Environmental Certificate products

Work closely with data and analytics teams to ensure data quality and calculation integrity

Testing, Validation & Controls

Lead Risk testing activities, including SIT and UAT

Define Risk test scenarios, controls, and acceptance criteria

Ensure consistent validation of valuations, sensitivities, exposures, and risk metrics against Endur and benchmark calculations
