We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to join our growing team supporting a major Australian banking client. This role is ideal for professionals with strong testing experience who enjoy solving complex problems, collaborating with cross functional teams, and contributing to high impact banking initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and control of testing activities across the project lifecycle.

Define and maintain the Test Strategy, Test Plan, estimates, schedules, and resource allocation.

Participate in requirements workshops, specification reviews, and technical reviews to ensure quality and testability.

Coordinate and manage testing deliverables in line with project timelines and quality objectives.

bullet icon

Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support sprint planning, execution, and release readiness.

bullet icon

Communicate test progress, quality metrics, risks, issues, and Test Summary Reports to stakeholders.

Manage testing risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation processes.

bullet icon

Establish and monitor test entry/exit criteria, traceability, test coverage, and defect management.

bullet icon

Oversee test environment readiness, test data management, and shakedown testing activities.

bullet icon

Mentor and guide team members, ensuring adherence to testing standards, processes, and best practices.

bullet icon

Review team performance and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and quality outcomes.

Collaborate with business, development, and project teams to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including 5+ years as a Test Manager.

bullet icon

Strong experience in test strategy, test planning, execution management, and release readiness assessments.

bullet icon

Proven expertise in quality reporting, test metrics, defect management, and Go/No-Go recommendations.

bullet icon

Strong domain knowledge of Debit & Credit Cards Origination, Card Lifecycle Management, and Payment Processing.

bullet icon

Experience testing VISA, MasterCard, and Australian payment systems including Direct Entry, BPAY, Funds Transfers, Cheques, and NPP.

Extensive experience with SDLC, STLC, Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.

Expertise in manual and automated testing, test governance, test tools, environments, and test data management.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of application architecture across presentation, business, integration, and data layers in on-premises and cloud environments.

bullet icon

Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and team mentoring skills.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality outcomes in complex enterprise environments.
