The developed product is a leading software system in the Energy domain, covering all aspects of Oil & Gas production—from geological exploration to the optimization of ongoing operations. Our technology solution enables geologists and geophysicists to efficiently research, visualize, and interpret large volumes of geological data.

This role requires working on-site in the Bangalore office, collaborating closely with the customer team based in Houston while following Agile principles.

You'll be joining a senior, supportive, and friendly team, committed to delivering high-quality solutions in the industry.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support in drilling and completions area to DWP team.

Provide an objective assessment of Product Quality

bullet icon

Contribute as an active Software Tester on the Team to deliver product stories

bullet icon

Develop Test Cases based on Test Objectives and Acceptance Criteria

bullet icon

Write comprehensive Test Cases to verify Product functionality

bullet icon

Contribute during Sprint Planning to ensure all Testing concerns are discussed and accommodated in the story sizing

bullet icon

Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and define key End User Workflows

bullet icon

Define, create and maintain Test environments

bullet icon

Validate Functionality according to Requirements/Stories

bullet icon

Verify Development changes have no undesired effect on other, associated areas of Functionality

bullet icon

Identify, communicate and document Bugs in a consistent fashion

bullet icon

Track Bugs through resolution and implementation

bullet icon

Verify Bugs are resolved according to Bug Definition

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

· Bachelor or Master Degree from a recognized university in petroleum, Geophysics, Geology or chemical engineering with minimum GPA 7.5 and above

bullet icon

· Min 2 yrs. of QA experience (Experience with Oil and Gas Upstream applications preferred)

bullet icon

· Good understanding of upstream applications. (Preferred: EDT Applications)

bullet icon

· Knowledge of one or more of the basic wells engineering concepts including:

Well construction – drilling techniques, well control, fluids property management, drilling mechanics, performance monitoring

bullet icon

Well completions – completion designs, well performance analysis,

bullet icon

· Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, Wellplan, Compass will be an advantage.

· Basic understanding of Framework creation using any of the Automation tool.

bullet icon

· Experience with SDLC/STLC processes and complete understanding of various testing types viz Smoke, Functional, Integration, Performance, Regression and User Acceptance Testing etc.

· ISTQB foundation level certified (Optional)

bullet icon

· Well versed with Test Case creation, Defect and Test Management tool (Azure DevOps/TFS, JIRA)

· Comfortable with Agile methodologies

· Excellent Communication Skills
