We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for both UI and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise with Playwright, Selenium, and Rest Assured, along with a solid understanding of modern testing practices, CI/CD pipelines, and quality engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing using Playwright, Selenium, and Rest Assured.

Build and enhance automation frameworks to support scalable and maintainable test suites.

Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.

Execute automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines and analyse results to identify defects and quality gaps.

Perform root‑cause analysis and work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards.

Ensure high test coverage and maintain high‑quality documentation for automation frameworks and test cases.

Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and uphold best practices in test automation.

Skills

Must have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

6-10 years of experience in test automation or quality engineering roles.

Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright and Selenium for UI automation.

Solid experience with Rest Assured for API automation.

bullet icon

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python (depending on stack).

Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.

Good understanding of API testing, HTTP protocols, JSON/XML, and API validation techniques.

Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
