We are looking for an experienced Hogan Core Banking Test Analyst to join our growing team supporting a major Australian banking client. This role is ideal for professionals with strong mainframe testing experience who enjoy solving complex problems, collaborating with cross functional teams, and contributing to high impact banking initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define testing scope, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment across teams.

Design comprehensive test cases for System Testing (ST) and System Integration Testing (SIT), ensuring full coverage of functional and technical requirements.

Prepare and manage test data for end to end scenarios across core banking modules.

bullet icon

Execute manual progression and regression testing across mainframe and distributed environments.

bullet icon

Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to drive timely resolution.

bullet icon

Validate mainframe interactions with distributed systems, including batch processes, DB2 queries, and JCL workflows.

bullet icon

Prepare detailed test documentation including test plans, execution logs, defect reports, and status updates.

Communicate testing progress, risks, and insights clearly to project managers and business stakeholders.

Skills

Must have

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

bullet icon

5+ years of Core Banking Mainframe testing experience, with strong hands on exposure to Lending and other core banking modules.

bullet icon

Mainframe testing expertise including JCL, DB2, batch processing, and online transactions.

bullet icon

Core Banking application knowledge across Loans, Deposits, CIS, or Umbrella.

bullet icon

Advanced proficiency in manual testing methodologies (ST, SIT)

bullet icon

Experience in test process management, governance, and quality standards.

bullet icon

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, especially in Mainframe environments.

bullet icon

Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple projects.

bullet icon

Solid understanding of the banking domain, especially lending.

Highly disciplined, organised, and self motivated.
