Our Client is undertaking the most significant digital transformation, where a cornerstone is the delivery of a consistent, integrated SAP S/4HANA based ecosystem and associated technology stack across markets.
The Technical Test Manager SAP is responsible for owning validation across SAP implementation, rollout, migration, enhancement and transformation activities. The role defines and runs the test strategy, orchestrates test data and environments, drives defect triage and provides risk-based quality reporting to leadership, with success measured in defect leakage, cycle time, coverage and business readiness.
The project team has more than 200 people.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain a risk-based test approach across SAP implementation, rollout, migration, enhancement and transformation activities.

Enforce entry and exit criteria, Definition of Ready / Done, and sign-off checkpoints with the stakeholders.

Build and maintain the test suite covering process variants, integrations, controls and non-functional aspects.

bullet icon

Ensure traceability from business requirements through test scenarios and evidence to acceptance decisions.

bullet icon

Plan, schedule, and run test cycles across System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-end Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Non-functional Testing.

Coordinate process and system teams together with business SMEs for execution and formal sign-off.

Create, update and execute manual and automated test cases.

Consolidate test status and escalate at technical programme level.

bullet icon

Lead defect management and triage, covering severity, ownership, SLA, root cause and retest.

bullet icon

Drive cross-team resolution to closure and remove blockers impacting cycle progress.

bullet icon

Enforce the test data strategy (synthetic versus masked production data, provisioning, refresh, privacy and compliance) and confirm data readiness per cycle.

Integrate non-functional testing into the cycle plan: performance, security and authorisation, failover, batch and throughput, usability.

Track test KPIs (coverage, pass rate, severity mix, MTTR, defect leakage) and enforce the reporting cadence towards PMO and sponsors.

Align with Business Process Owners, Engineering Leadership and SI/partners on scope, readiness and sign-off.

Surface quality risks with clear business impact and ensure the leadership has a transparent, decision-ready view of testing progress.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field (or equivalent experience)

bullet icon

6–10+ years in testing/QA, including 3+ years managing test cycles

bullet icon

Proven Test Manager experience in SAP ERP (S/4HANA, BW/Analytics, CPI/PO)

bullet icon

Proven experience orchestrating SIT, E2E and UAT with partners and business teams

bullet icon

Strong defect triage leadership across cross-functional teams

bullet icon

Deep understanding of business process value streams (O2C, P2P, H2R, R2R) and integration points (APIs, middleware, jobs)

Strong command of test management and ALM tools and requirement traceability practices.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management and risk reporting to senior leadership.

Experience working with System Integrators and complex vendor ecosystems.

Experience with test automation tools.

Experience with POS, e-commerce, selling and logistics systems.
