As the Technical Project Manager, you will serve as the operational lead and deputy to the Key Account manager for a Premium UK Automotive account, bridging the gap between strategic objectives and daily execution. This role requires a professional blend of technical delivery oversight and high-level soft skills to manage an operational team within a prominent UK OEM environment.

Responsibilities

Operations Management & PMO: Lead daily stand-ups and manage the operational rhythm to ensure the team meets all account targets. Support with financial management of the project.

Technical Quality Act as the primary point of accountability for technical quality, ensuring customer deliverables meet stringent client standards. Work in coordination with our India delivery expert and technical leads / single point of contacts in the squads, to ensure appropriate oversight and cross-squad dependencies are visible to create a view for the customer.

Action Tracking: Categorize and drive the team board; prioritizing Urgent vs. Important actions to prevent delivery bottlenecks and provide operational clarity to the account team.

Tactical Execution: Translate high-level strategy into specific, assignable tasks for the engineering account team.

Reporting: Maintain real-time visibility on project health, providing the Account Lead with accurate data for client leadership and "A-panel" meetings. Progress over time to become the deputy to the UK Account lead.

Team Oversight: Manage workload distribution across the team; providing mentorship where necessary and empowering engineers to lead.

Must have

UK Work Culture: Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the UK corporate culture, with a deep understanding of local professional standards and communication.

OEM Experience: Proven track record of handling a Car OEM in the UK Midlands, specifically adept at navigating the unique requirements of the luxury automotive environment.

Technical Background: Strong engineering foundation with the ability to oversee complex technical delivery and quality assurance.

Operational Leadership: Direct experience in Line Management or leading technical squads.

Client Communication: Exceptional soft skills with the ability to represent the team professionally in high-pressure onsite client meetings.

Project Governance: Expert in managing technical task boards (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and balancing competing priorities.
