Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Manage all aspects of project and change request engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Continually manage project and change request expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and change request team, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas
Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership and business stakeholders
Process and Delivery Execution
Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
Full project life cycle ownership to ensure successful project delivery
Manage all aspects of the projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Prepare detailed project plan for all phases of the project
Ensure assignment of adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
Manage project scope and changes
Act as an internal quality control check for the project
Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
Ensure that projects and change requests are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
Manage project and change request issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
Must have
Degree in computer science/engineering or related disciplines.
5+ years of experience in application development and support environment in Banking/Finance
Finance knowledge for GL, MAS, GST, Regulatory and Reporting/business intelligence
Individual must have working experience in Unix/Windows platforms, batch scheduling tools, Database query skills, BI Tools skillsets
Proven working experience in IT project management in a banking environment and in treasury products related.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
Nice to have
Knowledge of Finance, Risk, Accounting, ITIL of similar framework will be advantage
Technical skills : Oracle / MS SQL, Unix/Linux, AS400, Control-M, Shell scripting, Wolters Kluwer's OneSumX, Hyperion, SAP GL, Ray, BASEL , Moody's RiskAuthority
