A leading bank is Australia is undertaking a major transformation program. We are looking for Technical Business Analysts with strong experience in data reconciliation, ETL processes, and data transformation along with Signature core banking hand-on experience. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements with technical delivery, ensuring data integrity across upstream and downstream systems.

Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements from stakeholders.

Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder interviews to understand business processes and data needs.

Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

bullet icon

Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process flows, and use case documents.

bullet icon

Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, data teams, developers, and QA teams.

bullet icon

Facilitate discussions to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and manage stakeholder expectations.

bullet icon

Perform gap analysis between current and future-state processes and recommend improvements.

bullet icon

Support impact assessments for system enhancements, data migrations, and regulatory changes.

bullet icon

Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives.

Review and validate technical designs, data mappings, and ETL transformation logic against business requirements.

Define business rules, reconciliation criteria, and data quality requirements.

bullet icon

Support test planning, test case reviews, UAT execution, and defect triage activities.

bullet icon

Track and manage requirement changes, risks, dependencies, and project issues.

bullet icon

Prepare status reports and communicate project progress to business and technology stakeholders.

bullet icon

Drive data governance, data quality, and reconciliation discussions across multiple teams.

bullet icon

Provide production support by assisting in issue analysis, requirement clarification, and root cause investigations.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

9+ years of experience as a Technical/IT Business Analyst in data-intensive environments.

bullet icon

Strong experience in the Business Lending/Commercial Lending domain.

bullet icon

Strong knowledge of AS/400 (IBM iSeries) applications and databases, with hands-on experience in RPG and AS/400/iSeries concepts.

Good understanding of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS, with the ability to support analysis, troubleshooting, and impact assessment activities.

Proficient in SQL for data profiling, analysis, validation, and reconciliation.

bullet icon

Hands-on experience with data transformation, data migration, and ETL processes.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of data reconciliation, data quality, and data integrity controls.

Experience in creating Source-to-Target (S2T) mappings, business rules, and data mapping specifications.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data models, and data lineage.

Strong requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
