Project description

We are seeking a Solution Architect with deep Trade Finance domain expertise to define the target-state architecture and high-level design for the Trade Finance domain, aligned to business outcomes and the bank's strategic direction. This role spans business, application, data, and technology architecture — owning the end-to-end solution design and transformation roadmap, including integration with Payments and Core Banking platforms. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of business strategy and technology execution, translating complex domain requirements into well-structured architectural solutions and guiding them through stakeholder alignment, impact analysis, and implementation planning.

Responsibilities
bullet icon

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, domain architects, and technical SMEs to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current Trade Finance architecture, including systems landscape, data flows, integration points, and technology stack.

bullet icon

Document the existing architecture thoroughly, identifying pain points, technical debt, capability gaps, operational inefficiencies, and risks that limit business agility or scalability.

bullet icon

Capture and articulate business objectives, strategic drivers, and domain-specific requirements to inform the target architectural vision.

bullet icon

Define the target architectural strategy for Trade Finance aligned with the organization’s overall business and technology strategies and enterprise architecture guidelines.

bullet icon

Ensure the strategy addresses Trade Finance domain specifics—such as documentary credits, guarantees, collections, supply chain finance, and compliance—and integration with Payments and Core Banking platforms.

bullet icon

Align the strategy with modern architecture principles, including cloud-native design, API-first, event-driven patterns, and data-centric approaches, while managing legacy system migration challenges.

bullet icon

Define the target solution architecture covering business, application, data, and technology domains.

bullet icon

Design end-to-end architectural views and process flows for the full Trade Finance scope, including integration patterns with Payments, Core Banking, regulatory reporting, and external messaging systems.

bullet icon

Develop high-level design artifacts that clearly communicate the solution to technical teams and business stakeholders.

bullet icon

Document and assess transformation roadmap options for Trade Finance, evaluating feasibility, risk, time-to-value, and organizational impact.

bullet icon

Define the recommended end-to-end roadmap, outlining capability sequencing, migration phases, and key milestones.

bullet icon

Produce a high-level implementation roadmap detailing impacts on related domains, dependencies, risks, and assumptions, and secure approval from relevant stakeholders including business leadership, enterprise architecture, domain leads, and delivery teams.
