Project description

In the Strategy & Architecture function (CTO) we are transforming the way we deliver services and interact with our customers, through simplifying and modernising our technology platforms. Our team is responsible for defining and enabling the execution of our strategy by driving the adoption of automated, scalable, resilient, secure and performant technologies in the cloud as well as on-premise. We are strategic, solving problems, providing technical excellence and very hands-on. We are organised around domains and capabilities and guide the organisation with an outside-in approach informed by customers, markets and emerging technology.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated architect with a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. You will have solid domain knowledge of
testing strategies, automation frameworks, performance testing, and test lifecycle management. We will back you in the development of your career, with internal career prospects and flexible working. You will also be backed by a fantastic team of people in a can-do, supportive structure.

Responsibilities
bullet icon

You will own the Testing domain and lead end-to-end solution architecture and designs across multiple projects. You will collaborate with business owners and stakeholders to understand their priorities, value drivers and needs. You'll take business direction into the architecture and design that make up the solution blueprint for projects/investments. This will require balancing the architectural concerns of the projects with the concerns of the enterprise, and identifying repeatable design patterns and guardrails. You will influence and ensure buy-in from the development and testing teams so that the detailed design of the solution aligns with the higher-level architectures.

You will be expected to act as a leader, manager, mentor, and coach to other architects and testing professionals as well as participate in the evolution of the architecture function, continuously learning and contributing to the architecture practice improvements at banks as well as representing the organization at industry forums.

bullet icon

You will build your profile internally with senior stakeholders and be part of the future of a business that has been around for 200 years. You'll be working for an organisation that supports development, internal career moves and flexible working. Along with competitive salary, you'll receive bank's generous benefits and a whole array of customer discounts.
