About the Team

Financial Markets (FM) has expertise combined with deep local market knowledge to deliver a variety of risk management, financing and investment solutions to our clients. The FM team offers capabilities across origination, structuring, sales, trading and research. Offering a full suite of fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities and capital markets solutions, FM has firmly established itself as a trusted partner with extensive on-the-ground knowledge and deep relationships.

Project
This would be a role within a complex transformation project of Financial Markets Risk Technology division as a part of ~15-20 people project divided into few streams. This Stream would focus on exposing the data from Back end via Analytics API source ( using JAVA, SQL & MDX queries ) into the Banks custom front end solution allowing the users of this solution to analyze the various Financial Markets risk measures.

Responsibilities

The role would involve 60-70% front end testing, 30-40% back end testing. As this is part of a new project stream the team would need to set up the CI/CD pipelines using Cucumber & Java and Selenium.

Implementing test plans to deliver test phases on time.

Design efficient functional and non-functional test scenarios and cases ensuring there is traceability back to all business requirements.

Understand and organise the testing data.

Enhancement of the test automation packs.

Maintenance and execution of tests, recording of results and undertaking defect retesting.

Reporting progress and issues clearly and concisely.

Work to agreed timescales and ensure CI execution runs can operate within agreed time periods.

Skills

Must have

Experience & strong academic background with computer technology fields or similar o 5+ years as Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), o Continuous learning

staying up to date with the modern technologies o Good general understanding of how the computers & networks work

Technical skills o Java coding ( Java 11+) & REST API proficient hands on experience ( with at least 5Y in roles with at least 80% automation testing/software development tasks) o Selenium that will be used for Front end part testing o Data analysis skills and Experience using databases and SQL (such as PostgreSQL/Oracle/DB Duck ) o Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes o Proven experience working on Cloud Solutions ( preferably AWS) o Familiarity with ADO solution ( JIRA is not used on this project)
