The Automotive practice within DXC Luxoft delivers software projects to numerous global car manufacturers and suppliers of both personal and commercial vehicles. We are recognized for our automotive software expertise and for providing high-quality services and deliverables.
Currently, we are expanding our team for our Swedish clients and seeking Test Automation Engineers. You will join our growing organization in Sweden and contribute to the development of next-generation systems for the automotive industry, focusing on connected, autonomous, and electric vehicles.
This project primarily involves making design decisions, defining software architecture for software domains, and maintaining documentation.
Design system architecture for infotainment platforms.
Coordinate Android upgrades from versions A13 to A17 and A1
Manage cross-team governance involving eight feature teams.
Oversee performance and stability KPI tracking and improvement.
Plan for technology evolution and future platform enhancements.
Must have
The role requires extensive expertise in automotive and infotainment system design, with a strong focus on Android Automotive OS and embedded systems. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of Android system architecture, including Framework, SystemServer, native services, AIDL/HIDL interfaces, HAL abstraction, and SELinux security. Experience in designing and maintaining complex distributed systems with numerous interconnected services is essential. Proficiency in architectural patterns such as Service Bus, IPC, Event-Driven, Pub/Sub, and microkernel is expected. Additionally, expertise with vehicle communication protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and SOME/IP is required. Strong skills in C/C++ and Android native development, including JNI, NDK, and service implementation, are critical. Knowledge of the Linux kernel, device drivers, and embedded system fundamentals is also necessary.
Hard skills involve:
Extensive experience in automotive and infotainment system development
Advanced proficiency with Android Automotive OS and embedded frameworks
Mastery of interface definition and communication using AIDL and HIDL
In-depth knowledge of vehicle communication protocols and standards
Solid background in Linux kernel and embedded system debugging
Soft skills include:
Capability to integrate complex software components within automotive environments
Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing embedded OS interactions
Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver automotive solutions
Nice to have
Prior experience with OS/platform upgrades or major architectural transitions, demonstrating the ability to manage significant system changes.
Knowledge of ASPICE L3 or TISAX certification processes, indicating familiarity with industry-standard quality and security frameworks.
Familiarity with ISO 21434 cybersecurity engineering and Functional Safety (FUSA), reflecting understanding of automotive safety and security standards.
Experience with multi-market/variant software builds and CI/CD automation, showing competence in managing diverse software configurations and streamlined deployment.
Background in performance profiling, power optimization, or timing analysis, supporting efficient system performance and resource management.
Experience working in agile environments with multiple cross-functional teams, highlighting adaptability and collaboration skills.
