Applications are invited for the position of Senior UX Designer - Lead, working for the one of Luxoft clients as part of a telecom test solution engineering team.
The successful candidate will work as a key member of the telecom test solution Engineering team. We are contributing to a family of products that are used for functional, system integration, capacity and stress testing in the lab and emulate up 1000's of mobile devices, across multiple cells to set-up and test 4G and 5G Base Stations.

Responsibilities

The role will suit an experienced UX Design Lead willing to help a distributed engineering team in its quest to work effectively and efficiently in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate should truly believe in the Agile principles and be able to leverage them to allow the team deliver product improvements in an organised and practical fashion.

Understand and clarify requirements in a high technical/ engineering environment (i.e. quickly understand what is a protocol stack, a new system architecture), create complex information architectures, define and align on technical concepts and enable complex processes, define product requirements/ specifications and understand user psychology.

Define the client's product vision through research, stakeholder alignment, wireframing, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for engineering products.

Successfully translate design concepts into user flows, and prototypes optimised for a variety of devices and interfaces to create intuitive user experiences.

Successfully conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback.

bullet icon

Document user stories, user journeys, and development hand-off with detailed implementation guidelines. Create clear, optimal UX copy that fit the brand guidelines and provide an excellent usability and experience to users.

Support the R&D team in the architecture, design and implementation phase by enhancing requirements where needed to underline positive and negative user flows

Attention to detail, in order to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.

Strategic design and user-experience skills to facilitate optimal decisions related to existing and updated features.

Excellent collaboration skills with other team members and stakeholders.

Formulate user journey requirements and provide support for the other members in the UX team to understand scope of work, concepts so that they can deliver UI designs and prototypes.

Understand and master visual design principles, ability to create designs with good aesthetic fit according to client brand positioning and customer expectations.

Travel outside of Romania a few times a year to align with stakeholders and clients.

Must have

Ability and passion for understanding and working with technical/ engineering concepts, business metrics and translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate ideas with stakeholders, clients and developers.

Experience in creating English UX copy to high standards.

Fluent in Figma and up to date with latest Figma features (auto layout, components, variables, team design/UI libraries, theming), experience in working with tools such as Figma, Miro, Draw.io, Visio, ability to quickly learn and use new tools such as Adobe, Zeplin, OmniGraffle, Illustrator and Sketch.

Experience in requirement definition and enhancement, working with PLM and PO roles to support the team in architecture, design and implementation phases

Excellent problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges.
