Modernization as a Service (MaaS) is a horizontal organization in DXC that supports all business verticals, enabling transformation from legacy environments to modern, cloud-native, scalable architectures.

As a Senior UI Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping modernization strategies and guiding successful delivery. You will collaborate with sales, delivery teams, and customers to design transformation roadmaps—from monolithic legacy interfaces to modern, modular architectures—leveraging GenAI-based accelerators to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a UI Architect to:

Define and architect scalable, cloud-ready front-end solutions, leveraging micro-frontends, modern JavaScript frameworks, and modular design patterns.

Provide technical leadership to front-end teams, ensuring compliance with best practices, architectural standards, and maintainable coding guidelines.

bullet icon

Collaborate with back-end, DevOps, and cloud teams to design secure, efficient, and high-performing integration patterns.

bullet icon

Drive reuse and standardization by promoting design systems, shared component libraries, and UI frameworks across multiple projects.

bullet icon

Evaluate emerging technologies, conduct POCs, and deliver strategic recommendations aligned with product and business objectives.

bullet icon

Participate in Agile ceremonies, mentor engineers, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

bullet icon

Support solution design in pre‑sales activities, helping shape proposals and modernization approaches for prospective clients.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

10+ years of hands‑on front‑end engineering experience with deep, production-level expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.

bullet icon

Proven experience architecting large-scale front-end applications, including the ability to design and define application structure, component composition, and UI architecture blueprints.

bullet icon

Expert-level proficiency in modern web frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue, with the ability to choose the right framework for specific business and technical needs.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of Node.js as part of front-end build processes and tooling ecosystems.

bullet icon

Advanced knowledge of front-end build and packaging tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel, Esbuild, NPM/Yarn/Pnpm) and ability to optimize build pipelines for performance and maintainability.

bullet icon

Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, responsive design, and modern layout techniques (Flexbox, Grid).

bullet icon

Experience designing and enforcing coding standards, UI architecture guidelines, and maintaining design systems or component libraries at scale.

Hands-on understanding of micro-frontend architecture, modular front-end design, and strategies for distributed UI development.

bullet icon

Experience integrating front-end solutions within cloud environments (Azure, AWS), including CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native front-end hosting patterns.

Strong grasp of web performance optimization (LCP, CLS, TTI, bundle size reduction), security best practices (CSP, XSS protection, OAuth2/OIDC flows), and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x).

Familiarity with full-stack ecosystems including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, caching mechanisms, and general understanding of relational or NoSQL databases.

Nice to have

Experience with Java or Python in full-stack or integration scenarios.

Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) from a front-end integration perspective.
