We're looking for a Senior Technical Leader / Chapter Lead is accountable for the delivery, stability, and regulatory compliance of mission‑critical Agency Trading platforms across APAC. The role combines deep technical ownership with cross‑pod leadership, stakeholder management, and regulatory accountability. Operating at a chapter and regional level, the role serves as a trusted escalation point for production issues, complex deliveries, and high‑risk change, ensuring that technology outcomes support business performance while managing operational and regulatory risk.

Responsibilities

Platform & Technical Ownership: Own end‑to‑end technical accountability for key OMS platforms (including Market Sapphire and MOMS), covering order handling, post‑close workflows, FIX connectivity, controls, and production stability. Act as the senior technical authority for design decisions, incident remediation, and platform evolution in high‑volume trading environments.

Delivery & Execution Leadership: Lead complex, high‑impact initiatives from problem definition through design, execution, release, and post‑go‑live stabilisation. Drive delivery under tight regulatory, market, or client‑driven timelines, balancing speed, quality, and risk.

Production Stability & Risk Management: Serve as an escalation point for L3 production incidents and chronic client issues, coordinating engineering, QA, infrastructure, and support teams. Own root‑cause analysis, mitigation strategies, and long‑term fixes to reduce repeat incidents and operational risk.

Chapter & Cross‑Pod Leadership: Provide chapter‑level leadership across multiple pods, aligning priorities, sequencing, and delivery standards. Influence resourcing, capacity planning, and execution governance, particularly where ownership is fragmented or delivery risk is elevated.

Regulatory, Audit & Governance Engagement: Represent Technology in regulatory, audit, and risk forums (e.g. OMS oversight, trading controls, exchange and market mandates). Translate regulatory intent into technically sound, operationally viable solutions and ensure defensible implementation.

Stakeholder Management: Act as a key interface between Trading, Product, Risk, Compliance, COO, and Technology leadership. Communicate complex technical and risk topics clearly to senior stakeholders, enabling informed decision‑making.

Strategic Contribution: Contribute to APAC‑wide planning, including roadmaps, platform simplification, decommissioning, and organisational change. Provide grounded input on delivery feasibility, risk exposure, and sequencing of work to protect production stability.

Skills

Must have

12–18+ years of overall software engineering experience

5+ years in a technical leadership / architect / chapter lead role

Prior experience in large-scale enterprise platforms, preferably financial services / investment banking

Demonstrated ability to drive technical strategy, not just execution

Experience working in regional or global teams (APAC exposure preferred)
