We are looking for a high-caliber, autonomous Tableau Developer to join our Data & Analytics team as a contractor. You will own the end-to-end (E2E) delivery lifecycle of our marketing & commercial business intelligence products, from solution design to development, testing and final production release.

Solution Design & Data Model Specification

Requirements Translation: Partner with the product owner to translate ambiguous business questions into structured technical visualizations.

Data Spec Blueprinting: Design and document the required data model specifications (grain, joins, aggregations) needed to power dashboards, passing clear requirements to the Data Engineering team.

Prototyping: Build rapid wireframes and mockups to align stakeholder expectations before full-scale development.

E2E Dashboard Development & Performance Tuning

Advanced Visualisation: Build scalable, clean, and intuitive Tableau dashboards that adhere to modern UI/UX design standards and executive-level reporting requirements.

Performance Optimisation: Architect dashboards utilizing Tableau best practices (Extract vs. Live optimization, efficient calculated fields, minimized LOD expressions, and proper indexing backgrounders) to ensure sub-second rendering times on massive datasets.

SQL Data Validation

Independent QA: Conduct rigorous validation testing by cross-referencing Tableau dashboard logic against database records using SQL to guarantee absolute mathematical accuracy before release.

Environment Strategy & Release Management

Deployment Governance: Execute a structured multi-environment strategy (Development ➔ Staging ➔ Production).

Version Control: Ensure workbook configurations, data source connections, and parameter definitions swap cleanly across environments without manual hardcoding or post-deployment breaking changes.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead UAT sessions with structured test scripts to secure final validation signs-off from business users

Tableau Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud/Server, and Tableau Prep. Deep understanding of row-level security (RLS), advanced parameter actions, and dynamic dashboard switching.

Expert SQL: Hands-on SQL skills (Window functions, CTEs, complex joins). Experience querying modern cloud data platforms (ideally Snowflake) is highly preferred.

Data Modeling Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of data warehousing concepts, including Star/Snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, and managing point-in-time snapshot data.
