Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Cardlink Issuing applications.

Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and solution design based on business requirements.

Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with development teams during implementation.

bullet icon

Support SDLC activities including requirements analysis, design, SIT, UAT, deployment, and production support.

bullet icon

Analyze and support Mainframe Cards applications built on COBOL, CICS, and JCL.

bullet icon

Work closely with business stakeholders, testing teams, and developers to ensure successful delivery.

Support e-commerce and acquiring business initiatives within the Cards domain.

Participate in defect analysis, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.

Review test strategies and ensure business requirements are adequately covered.

Maintain functional and technical documentation.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

6-9 years of experience as a System Analyst or IT Business Analyst in Cards or Banking projects.

bullet icon

Strong experience with Cardlink Issuing applications.

bullet icon

Hands-on experience in Mainframe COBOL, CICS, and JCL.

bullet icon

Experience working with VSAM and Sequential Datasets.

bullet icon

Strong experience in E-commerce and Acquiring business processes.

bullet icon

Experience in requirements gathering, impact analysis, effort estimation, solution design, and functional design.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

bullet icon

Experience defining test strategies based on business requirements.

bullet icon

Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to have

Experience as a Mainframe Cards Application System Analyst.
