We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Applications & Connected Devices to lead test strategy and build scalable automation across Logitech's desktop, mobile and web applications, backend services, peripherals and IoT devices.
The ideal candidate combines strong software test automation and hardware validation expertise with hands-on experience testing wired and wireless devices. They will validate complete user journeys across software, firmware, hardware and cloud services, covering connectivity, audio/video functionality, authentication, interoperability and reliability. The role also involves using modern agentic development tools to accelerate test authoring and execution, improving test infrastructure and mentoring QA engineers.
Lead test strategy. Define manual and automated coverage for functionality, integration, compatibility,
performance, reliability and user experience across applications, backend services and devices.
Build scalable automation. Design Python frameworks and reusable device/API libraries; develop application
tests using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium and Appium, selecting tools appropriate to each platform.
Test desktop and mobile applications. Validate Windows and macOS desktop applications, including Electron,
and iOS and Android mobile applications. Cover installation, upgrades, permissions, lifecycle transitions and
device interaction; use ADB for Android diagnostics.
Test web and single-page applications. Validate SPAs built with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Svelte and
similar technologies, covering browser compatibility, routing, state management, API integration and error
handling.
Validate backend services and identity flows. Automate API, integration and contract testing, including data
consistency and failure recovery. Test SSO and OAuth 2.0 flows across platforms, covering redirects, access
control, token expiry/refresh, sessions and sign-out.
Test wired and wireless devices. Validate USB, Bluetooth Classic (BT), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi
connectivity, covering detection, pairing, connection stability, reconnection, interoperability, wireless
range/coexistence and recovery from connectivity failures.
Validate USB and USB-UVC behaviour. Test enumeration, HID functionality, hot-plugging, hubs, docks and
power transitions; validate camera formats, resolutions, frame rates, streaming stability and audio/video
synchronisation.
Test Bluetooth headsets. Validate A2DP media playback and HFP two-way call audio, including microphone
functionality, call controls, profile switching, audio quality, connection stability and reconnection.
Validate connected product journeys. Test IoT onboarding, provisioning, configuration, telemetry, remote
management, offline operation and cloud synchronisation. Cover firmware/OTA updates, interrupted updates and
supported recovery.
Use agentic development tools. Use Cursor or equivalent tools to author, maintain, execute and debug
automated tests. Review generated code for correctness, coverage and maintainability, and verify results.
Maintain continuous testing and traceability. Integrate suites with CI/CD; manage device labs, fixtures and test
data. Maintain TestRail cases, suites, execution cycles, coverage, defect links and reports.
Drive investigation and technical leadership. Diagnose failures using application, backend and firmware logs,
packet captures and protocol traces. Collaborate across engineering teams, mentor QA engineers and report
