Responsibilities

Ensure that Tribe and Squad goals are understood by everyone in the Squad

Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and the team to ensure a healthy, prioritized product backlog is maintained, with particular attention to technical milestones and requirements for data integration.

Facilitate agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective), ensuring they are effective and proactively addressing technical impediments and integration challenges.

Support the Squad in continuously improving the effectiveness of their incremental delivery of value to clients & stakeholders, focusing on quality, stability, and compliance with Google Cloud platform technical standards.

Deeply understand the technical context of the supported teams, including system architecture, applied agile frameworks, environmental constraints (e.g., Google Cloud Platform), and the technical implications of deliveries.

bullet icon

Proactively remove technical impediments to team success, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, and protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions, especially during release and deployment cycles.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the team lives the agile values, apply agile principles, and follow agreed processes and practices, with an emphasis on optimizing CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.

Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to continuously improve the agile process, sharing best practices in managing complex releases on cloud platforms.

Conduct agile training, advise, facilitate, mentor, and coach agile team members and stakeholders, with a focus on understanding technical delivery processes and responsibilities within releases.

Ensure efficient collaboration with Release Management team, from initial planning and managing technical dependencies between teams to monitoring implementation and post-deployment.

Manage technical risks associated with deliveries, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and facilitating their mitigation.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

5 years+ of experience as Scrum Master or in a similar position, with a proven track record in coordinating complex software releases.

bullet icon

In-depth experience in agile techniques and demonstrated success in supporting agile teams, including those with a strong technical orientation.

bullet icon

Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable offering guidance and leadership, both individually and at the agile team level.

bullet icon

Structured and problem-solving attitude, including identification and proactive removal of technical impediments to agile team delivery.

bullet icon

Passionate about coaching and supporting people to embrace changes in their way of working, especially concerning new technologies and delivery processes.

A continuous improvement mindset and dedication to finding new ways of working, with a focus on optimizing development and deployment cycles.

Emotionally intelligent, calm, open-minded, and collaborative with strong people management skills: strong communication, motivating, observing, coaching, and mentoring of colleagues.

Experience with tools for agile team management such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office Package, with an understanding of how these can support release planning and tracking.

Experience with distributed, multi-location teams, with an effective approach to coordinating technical activities and deliveries.

Experience in financial reporting / banking environments, understanding the regulatory and compliance rigor applicable to software deliveries.

Solid technical background and experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with a strong preference for experience in cloud engineering (especially Google Cloud Platform), DevOps, CI/CD, and automation of deployment processes.

Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex releases for software products, including planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, and managing dependencies between technical teams.
