Responsibilities
bullet icon

Drive quality engineering practices across complex technology delivery programmes, embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

bullet icon

Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks using Java, Playwright, Cucumber, and BDD practices.

bullet icon

Integrate automated testing and quality gates into GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support Continuous Testing and reliable software delivery.

bullet icon

Lead testing across functional, regression, performance, resilience, and end-to-end scenarios, using quality metrics to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.

bullet icon

Support testing of FX and Murex environments, including trade processing, reporting, interfaces, batch operations, reconciliation, and defect management.

bullet icon

Collaborate with global engineering, product, and platform teams, providing technical leadership and driving adoption of quality engineering standards and best practices.

Skills

Must have

Extensive experience driving quality engineering initiatives across complex technology delivery programms.

bullet icon

Demonstrated track record of implementing and advancing quality engineering practices and test automation capabilities across functional, regression, performance, resilience, and end-to-end testing.

Hands-on experience with modern test management platforms such as Zephyr, TestRail, or equivalent tools.

bullet icon

Strong practical knowledge of test automation frameworks and technologies, including Playwright, Cucumber, and Java-based automation solutions

bullet icon

Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Java and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of DevOps and Continuous Testing practices, with hands-on experience using GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, and pipeline-based quality gates to improve delivery confidence and speed.

Experience embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle, including automated testing within build, deployment, and release pipelines

Passionate about adopting a metrics-driven approach to quality engineering, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and delivery outcomes.

Diligent with a willingness to dive deep into systems, processes, and technical challenges to identify root causes and quality risks.

Strong experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating closely with multi-functional engineering, product, and platform teams.

Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.

Experience applying a range of testing methodologies and practices, including BDD.

Knowledge of FX products and financial services technology environments.

Hands-on experience with Murex application testing and support, including trade processing, reporting, interfaces, and batch operations. Skilled in batch monitoring, failure analysis, reconciliation, defect management, and ensuring successful completion of daily and overnight processing cycles is desirable

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and champion quality across engineering teams.
