Our client is a global aviation technology company that provides mission-critical software to leading airlines worldwide. Its open, modular, and cloud-native solutions help airlines modernize retailing, distribution, order management, financial settlement, and passenger services.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional software initiatives in the airline technology domain.

The successful candidate will coordinate product, engineering, architecture, quality assurance, DevOps, security, operations, and business teams across multiple locations. This role requires strong delivery leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to bring structure, visibility, and predictability to a technically complex environment.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery from planning and estimation through implementation, release, and post-production stabilization.

Define project scope, objectives, milestones, dependencies, delivery plans, and success criteria.

Coordinate distributed teams, including product managers, engineering leads, architects, developers, QA, DevOps, security, and operations.

Establish clear governance, reporting, decision-making, and escalation processes.

bullet icon

Manage schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

bullet icon

Maintain realistic delivery forecasts and communicate progress, risks, and required decisions to senior stakeholders.

Align business priorities, product roadmaps, technical architecture, and delivery capacity.

bullet icon

Manage dependencies across platform components, integration partners, airline systems, and concurrent delivery streams.

bullet icon

Drive release readiness, including quality validation, operational preparation, deployment planning, and stakeholder approval.

Ensure security, regulatory, architectural, and non-functional requirements are incorporated into delivery plans.

Support Agile planning and execution within an enterprise delivery environment.

Identify delivery bottlenecks and lead corrective actions with technical and business leaders.

Promote continuous improvement through delivery metrics, retrospectives, and lessons learned.

Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and serve as a clear point of accountability for project outcomes.

Skills

Must have

Extensive experience managing complex enterprise software-development projects.

bullet icon

Demonstrated success delivering cloud platforms, SaaS products, APIs, integrations, or distributed systems.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile practices, release management, and production readiness.

bullet icon

Experience coordinating globally distributed, multidisciplinary teams.

bullet icon

Strong project governance, financial tracking, resource planning, risk management, and executive reporting capabilities.

Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear business and delivery implications.

bullet icon

Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, conflict-resolution, and stakeholder-management skills.

Proven ability to operate effectively amid changing priorities, multiple dependencies, and significant technical complexity.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or equivalent delivery-management tools.

Professional fluency in English.

Nice to have

Experience in airline technology, travel technology, e-commerce, retailing, payments, or another high-volume transactional environment.

Knowledge of airline retailing concepts, including NDC, ONE Order, offer and order management, settlement, revenue accounting, or passenger delivery.

Experience delivering AWS-based or other cloud-native platforms.

Familiarity with API-first architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, and enterprise integrations.
