Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Software Engineers.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing for Murex applications.

Prepare testing effort estimations for Murex implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.

Plan and coordinate testing activities for CAB releases, production deployments, and implementation projects.

bullet icon

Design, prepare, execute, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.

Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing

bullet icon

(UAT), regression testing, and production validation activities.

bullet icon

Validate application functionality following releases, upgrades, and production deployments.

bullet icon

Perform defect identification, defect tracking, root cause analysis, and coordinate issue resolution with development teams.

Collaborate with Development, Business, Infrastructure, and Project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Support production issue investigations related to Murex releases and implementations.

Prepare and maintain test plans, test reports, release documentation, and quality metrics.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

6-9 years of experience in Murex Testing / Quality Assurance within Banking or Capital Markets.

bullet icon

Strong hands-on experience with Murex applications.

bullet icon

Experience in testing effort estimation and test planning.

bullet icon

Experience supporting CAB releases, application upgrades, and implementation projects.

bullet icon

Hands-on experience with Oracle databases.

bullet icon

Good working knowledge of SQL for data validation and testing.

bullet icon

Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java.

bullet icon

Experience working in AIX, Solaris, or Open Systems environments.

bullet icon

Experience executing Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing.

bullet icon

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect management skills.

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
