The role is with our Murex engineering team, which is working on providing technical support (including defect fixing & small changes) as well as technical changes on the client's Murex 3.1 platform.
Our project offers a unique opportunity to work across a wide range of niche technologies, like AWS, and DevOps, alongside legacy and the latest Murex versions.
Deliver as part of a global team of Software/Systems Engineers focusing on the stability and reliability of Murex (2.11,3.1) and in-house risk and pricing system.
Manage end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
Lead by example, care for the team, and establish credibility with the quality of the teams' technical execution.
Manage and contribute to on-call rotations across continents, using a follow-the-sun model.
Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Murex services.
Coordinate the documentation effort through precise transcripts of incident post-mortems, problem description and overall quality documentation.
Implements a culture within the Tribe and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation.
Contributes to Engineering communities, meetups and conferences to promote technology development culture and practices.
Hands-on technical experience.
Experience integrating and managing globally distributed teams of experienced Engineers.
Capable of technical deep dives into code, networking, operating systems and storage.
Deep understanding of Software Engineering and Computer Science principles.
Strong communication skills.
Understand customer needs to make sound judgments.
Pays attention to detail and demonstrates problem-solving capability to develop and deliver quality solutions.
Understanding of current state landscape and relevant technologies.
Has a broad understanding of how to apply New Ways of Working to their role.
Must have
4 to 8 years of experience supporting/managing Murex systems(2.11 and 3.1)
Strong Knowledge in ITIL process(Incident/Problem/Change/Release management). Active participation in major incident bridge calls and PIRs
Strong knowledge in any Database (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase)
Good knowledge in monitoring tools like Splunk, ITRS, and Dynatrace, along with Dashboard and alert/monitoring configuration
Having good understanding of EOD cycle, along with feeders/extractions and MXML
Experience working with one or more of the following
C, C++, Java, and/or Python
Hands-on expertise in Unix and Windows server administration and troubleshooting
Good understanding of a High-Performance Computing distributed architecture, ideally on the Windows platform (Microsoft HPC)
A desire to write tools and applications to automate work e.g., with Python rather than do everything by hand
Strong programming and scripting fundamentals in any programming language, preferably Python, PowerShell/Shell, Perl, JavaScript
Experience in standardized systems configuration/installation/deploy tools
Ansible, UDeploy
Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
Nice to have
AWS Cloud certifications or equivalent experience will be an added advantage
Job Scheduling tool knowledge
Control M (Browse & Update) or any similar tool
CI CD Tooling
RDBMS ( Oracle and SQL Server)
Experience with OpenShift, Docker, and cloud deployment technologies
Exposure to other Murex modules: MxML, FO, BO
Good to have Testing
