The resource will work as part of a team responsible for Murex Environment and Configuration Management for a banking client. The role involves end-to-end setup, maintenance, and support of Murex environments across DEV, SIT, UAT, PRE-PROD, and PROD landscapes — ensuring environment stability, managing configuration deployments, supporting EOD/batch operations, and collaborating with functional and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery of Murex projects and releases.
Manage end-to-end setup and maintenance of Murex environments including deployment of application binaries, EN patches, PSU upgrades, and periodic environment refreshes.
Perform configuration changes and code deployments across multiple environments to ensure application stability.
Troubleshoot and resolve environment issues involving service failures, performance degradation, EOD batch failures, connectivity disruptions, and production incidents.
Manage certificate renewals (client–server, load-balancer), port openings, and application license renewals.
Execute database backup/restore operations, masked DB dumps, and export-import activities with data consistency validation.
Perform database housekeeping — table reorganization, rebuilds, TMP/backup cleanup, and LOB movement to reclaim space and improve performance.
Design and deploy automation scripts, service launchers, and process automation to reduce manual BAU effort.
Configure and manage job scheduling using tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Crontab.
Implement monitoring solutions for service instance failures and proactive alerting.
Support Murex upgrade and migration activities (binary upgrades, platform migrations, version merging).
Coordinate with Murex vendor for fixes, patches, solutions, and audit remediation.
Manage BCP/DR switchover and switchback activities.
Must have
5+ years of hands-on experience in Murex Environment & Configuration Management (ECM).
Strong experience with Murex MX.3 platform — environment setup, binary deployment, patch management, and configuration.
Expertise in EOD/BOD batch processing — monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and parallelization.
Strong Oracle DBA skills — backup/restore, export-import, table reorganization, performance tuning, and SQL.
Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash/Ksh) and automation on Linux/AIX/UNIX platforms.
Hands-on experience with job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, Crontab).
Experience with Murex certificate management, license management, and security deployments.
Knowledge of Murex technical architecture (MX System Architecture, DRILL, MLC).
Strong understanding of incident, problem, release, and configuration management processes (ITIL).
Ability to collaborate with Murex vendor and cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience with Murex version upgrades/migrations.
Experience with Sybase administration in addition to Oracle.
Familiarity with Murex Datamart, MXML, and reporting frameworks.
Experience with database masking and PII data handling.
Knowledge of load-balancing configuration for Murex applications.
Experience in Murex MLC and Market Risk engine optimization.
Exposure to Weblogic server administration for Murex deployments.
Experience working in large-scale banking/financial services environments (Tier-1 banks).
