Our Client is looking for candidates for the Datamart developer position under the Treasury team to support the bank's treasury division for the business with Commodities, Credit Derivatives, FX Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX, Money Markets & Fixed Income products in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and its overseas branches across the globe.

The role will require the person to perform day-to-day activities that are part of L3, QR or project in the datamart Murex module. Also working closely with various leads & internal technology teams as well as the vendor. This role will be based in Malaysia.

The ideal candidate should be a Senior analyst with datamart skills and experience in trading/Risk system support/development.

Responsibilities

Datamart Development & Design

Design, develop, and maintain Murex Datamart solutions

Work on:

Datamart schema design

Data model optimization

Data extraction and transformation logic

Ensure efficient data processing for reporting and downstream systems

Reporting & Data Delivery

Develop and support:

Regulatory reports

Risk and accounting reports

Simulation-based and liquidation reports

Ensure accurate and timely data availability for downstream reporting

systems

Migration & Enhancements

Participate in:

Datamart migration projects (version upgrades / platform changes)

System enhancements and change requests

Perform impact analysis and implement required changes

Production Support & Issue Resolution

Handle:

Bug fixes

Data issues

Performance bottlenecks

Provide L2/L3 support for datamart-related incidents

Ensure system stability and data accuracy

Database & Performance Optimization

Write and optimize complex SQL queries

Work with databases such as:

Oracle

Sybase

Tune performance for large datasets and reporting workloads

Scheduling & Batch Processing

Manage and monitor batch jobs using Control-M

Work in Unix/Linux environments for job execution and scripting

Ensure smooth execution of daily/periodic data loads

Functional & Domain Collaboration

Collaborate with:

Business analysts

Risk teams

Finance teams

Understand requirements related to:

Global Markets

Risk reporting

Translate business needs into technical solutions

SDLC & Delivery

Follow full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Participate in:

Development

Testing (SIT/UAT support)

Deployment

Ensure quality and timely delivery of solutions

Stakeholder Communication

Communicate effectively with:

Technical teams

Non-technical stakeholders

Provide updates, clarify requirements, and support decision-making

Skills

Must have

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar domain

6+ years track record in developing and delivering global/regional IT capabilities for a multi-national/regional company with annual budgetary responsibility

6-9 years' experience in Murex Datamart module.

Good business domain knowledge in Global Markets and Group Risk

Sound understanding of datamart module: datamart design, optimization, downstream and interface reporting work experience, regulatory reporting experience.

Should have worked on migration projects and enhancements. Good understanding of liquation, simulation based and accounting based reports.

Development, migration & bug fix experience

Good SQL. Unix & Control M experience

Oracle or Sybase DB work experience

Experience in the latest versions

Understanding of products in Murex

Experience in communicating with functional and technical stakeholders

Experience in service-oriented technologies

Good understanding and experience in software development cycle

Highly effective communicating with technical stakeholders, proficient communicating with non-technical stakeholders

Good problem solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking and solutioning skills

Nice to have

Experience in banking industry preferred
