Req. VR-124362
We are looking for a Senior Java Integration Developer with deep expertise in distributed systems, Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), and reactive architectures to build our next-generation Portable Domain Integration API Layer.
In this role, you will be responsible for coding, wiring, and deploying a cloud-agnostic, event-driven orchestration layer using Spring Boot (WebFlux) and Apache Camel. You will build resilient, stateful Saga workflows that aggregate downstream APIs, handle mixed synchronous and asynchronous communications, enforce distributed concurrency locks, and scale dynamically inside Kubernetes.
Core Application Development: Build low-latency, non-blocking REST endpoints using Spring Boot and Spring WebFlux / Netty to handle high-concurrency client requests without thread starvation.
Workflow & Saga Orchestration: Implement centralized Saga Orchestration routes using Apache Camel DSL to manage complex, multi-step transaction lifecycles. Write explicit compensating actions ("undo" blocks) to ensure eventual data consistency.
Content-Based Routing: Develop data-driven micro-routing logic (EIP) that dynamically evaluates upstream JSON/XML responses at runtime to route or bypass conditional steps.
State & Concurrency Management: Integrate state tracking in PostgreSQL and build Idempotent Consumer patterns using Redis Sentinel clusters with strict WAIT locking blocks to prevent race conditions across scaled containers.
Asynchronous Webhook Handling: Build non-blocking callback endpoints that receive external notifications, re-acquire transaction state using global correlation IDs, and finalize parked workflows.
Containerization & Deployment: Write multi-stage, immutable. Dockerfiles and generic Kubernetes manifests (Deployment, StatefulSet, ConfigMaps, Secrets) that run identically across Azure (AKS), AWS (EKS), and On-Premises environments.
Observability & Autoscaling: Embed OpenTelemetry distributed tracing interceptors (W3C context) into code and configure KEDA (Kubernetes Event-driven Autoscaling) rules mapped to queue depths (RabbitMQ/Kafka) for scale-to-zero capabilities.
Must have
8-12 years of working experience
4–6+ years of professional experience in Java 17, Springboot, Apache camel along with below API background expertise.
API Gateway (Kong, Apigee, Mulesoft, WSO2, etc.)
API product/domain API development
OpenAPI / Swagger-first design
Event-driven architectures
Kubernetes
Spring Ecosystem Mastery: Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and reactive, non-blocking frameworks (Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor, embedded Netty).
Apache Camel Proficiency: Proven track record authoring production-grade Apache Camel DSL routes (Java-based) utilizing Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP: Content-Based Router, Message Translator, Splitter, Aggregator).
Messaging & Caching: Strong experience interfacing with message brokers (RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka) and distributed memory caches (Redis / Redis Sentinel).
Database & Locking: Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and implementing application-level distributed locking mechanisms.
Technical Competencies
Language/Framework: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, Project Reactor.
Integration Engine: Apache Camel (Camel-Spring Boot Starter).
State & Locks: PostgreSQL (CloudNativePG), Redis / Redis Sentinel.
Messaging: RabbitMQ / Apache Kafka.
Infrastructure: Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/On-Prem),
