About the Team

Financial Markets (FM) has expertise combined with deep local market knowledge to deliver a variety of risk management, financing and investment solutions to our clients. The FM team offers capabilities across origination, structuring, sales, trading and research. Offering a full suite of fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities and capital markets solutions, FM has firmly established itself as a trusted partner with extensive on-the-ground knowledge and deep relationships.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with fellow developers, financial market infrastructure experts, testers, architects and operations teams to deliver working solutions.

Take ownership of the analysis, design, build and delivery of software components written in Java.

Take responsibility for identification, estimation and reporting on of progress of tasks.

Assimilate, challenge, help refine and then apply architectural principles around scalability, security and fault tolerance.

Develop a deep understanding of the mechanics of Market Risk & Market Risk Stress Testing and apply this knowledge.

Skills

Must have

Experience & strong academic background o 10+ years with Java o Continuous learning

staying up to date with the modern technologies o Good general understanding of how the computers & networks work in terms of performance

Technical skills o Proven Exposure to column-oriented databases like ClickHouse, Tinybird, Druid, or Pinot ( MUST HAVE) o Proven experience working with large data sets (~200m records daily volume), 1 bn + records Databases with low latency ( MUST HAVE) o 5y in finance/banking area o Excellent knowledge and hands-on skills in Core Java, JDK 17, GC, collections & streams, threading, latency problems, exceptions, optimization. o REST Template / WebClient, JDBC & JPA, Lombok, Jackson o Good to have: Google Guice, Google gRPC, Protobuf, Consul, Netty

Soft skills o Strong team player o Highly effective verbal and written English communication skills.
