An opportunity is available for a Fixed Income Integration Business Analyst to join our client, a leading Australian financial institute, as a key contributor to the implementation and configuration of Bond and Repo products. This role involves integrating trade flow from upstream interfaces, security static data setup, and managing end-to-end fixed income settlements. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring seamless trade lifecycle management from execution through to settlement.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Business Analyst for Fixed Income Integration workstreams, covering Bond and Repo product setup, trade lifecycle, and settlement on the client's clearing/risk platform.

Configure and validate Bond static data setup sourced from external agencies like Blomberg, Refinitiv

bullet icon

Manage integration of Bloomberg TOMS and VCON trade flows into the trading platform defining trade capture requirements, message mapping, FIX/API specifications, and exception handling.

Define and document requirements for Bloomberg Data License (DL) feeds — security reference data, pricing, corporate actions, yield curves — and their consumption by downstream risk and settlement systems.

Support the full Bond and Repo trade lifecycle from trade capture, validation, enrichment, position management, through to netting and settlement instruction generation.

Define and validate SWIFT settlement messaging requirements covering Secuirty, Cash settlements

bullet icon

Perform gap analysis between current-state and target-state for fixed income trade processing, static data management, and settlement workflows.

Facilitate workshops with Front office, Operations, and Technology teams to elicit requirements and validate integration designs.

Support UAT and end-to-end testing of trade flows, static data loads, and settlement message generation.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

5+ years of experience in Capital Markets with a strong focus on Fixed Income (Bonds and Repos).

bullet icon

Understanding of various bond products like Fixed / Floating Rate, T-Bills, Zero Coupon and Asset Backed.

bullet icon

Understanding of Repo-specific processing open vs term repos, repo rate conventions, haircuts, close leg generation, substitution.

bullet icon

Excellent knowledge of the Bond and Repo trade lifecycle pricing, trade capture, confirmation and settlement.

bullet icon

Hands-on experience with Bond static/security master setup from interfaces like Blomberg / Refinitiv, reference data sourcing.

bullet icon

Good understanding of security settlement models, netting, and CSD/custodian interactions

bullet icon

Strong understanding of SWIFT MT 540–548 settlement messages, message structure, matching rules, and settlement status workflows.

Experience with integration design defining interface specifications, data mapping, FIX protocol, API connectivity, and file-based feeds between front-office and post-trade systems.

Familiarity with Bloomberg TOMS and/or Bloomberg VCON for trade order management and trade capture in fixed income.

Demonstrated experience in business analysis requirements elicitation, User story preparation, data flow documentation, and stakeholder facilitation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality and reconciliation.

Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities for effective collaboration across trading desks, operations, technology, and external custodians.

Experience working within Agile project environments.

Nice to have

Experience with Nasdaq Calypso, Eqlipse (clearing, risk, or CSD modules), Murex or other trading platforms

Knowledge of SWIFT ISO 20022 (MX) messaging structure, experience in MT to MX migration.

Experience with CCP risk engine concepts like margining (IM/VM), VaR, position keeping for fixed income instruments.

Basic technical knowledge in SQL, XML, JSON for data analysis, message validation, and issue investigation.
