Responsibilities

As a Senior Developer in the Compliance Technology domain, you will be responsible for developing and deploying the projects into production.

You will contribute to the development, defect fixing, and support of applications that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for developer with a strong foundation in scripting, databases, and Java, and an interest in Compliance application systems.

Other responsibilities include:

Develop, enhance, maintain & deploy application changes to production.

bullet icon

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements to develop technical specifications

bullet icon

Collaborate with system analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth delivery and deployment.

bullet icon

Analyze and resolve defects found in the applications.

bullet icon

Write and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts to support automation and integration tasks.

bullet icon

Manage and work with vendor and internal UOB teams to successfully deliver enhancements for AML systems

bullet icon

Manage and work closely with stakeholders during all phases of system changes delivery

bullet icon

Coordinate and plan with Infra and change management teams for application deployment activities in Devops environment.

Setup and maintain application infrastructure in Unix, Windows and Oracle environment

bullet icon

Conduct technical delivery/process knowledge and best practices sharing/training sessions with internal teams to help improve overall delivery competency level.

Perform SQL queries and updates to support application logic and reporting.

bullet icon

Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.

bullet icon

Support production and test environments, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.

bullet icon

Document technical specifications, deployment procedures, and support guides.

Escalate issues that impacts project schedule on timely basis and propose workarounds/resolutions

Provide timely updates and report to management.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

8-10 years of proven experience in software development or support roles, preferably in banking or financial services.

bullet icon

Must have good experience in system integration/interfacing design and delivery.

bullet icon

Experience working in a Linux environment.

bullet icon

Proficient in scripting skills (Unix shell scripting or Bash or PowerShell).

bullet icon

Solid database knowledge (SQL)

bullet icon

Development experience in Java.

bullet icon

DevOps change process and Tools familiarity (Bitbucket, Jenkins), Control-M, Aldon

bullet icon

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

bullet icon

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

bullet icon

Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

bullet icon

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.

Be able to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

Nice to have

Familiarity with Compliance technology (KYC, Transaction Monitoring, FMF), AML or compliance-related systems is a plus.

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube) will be an added advantage

Additional certifications in payment or compliance technology are advantageous.
