We are seeking a talented Business Analyst in front office, project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the "run the bank" function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.
The Business analyst will work on pre-trade application used to pre-book and book Rates deals. Key activities include developing features that facilitate RFQ workflows between Sales and Traders, enabling efficient communication and deal negotiation. The role involves implementing real-time pricing, deal validation logic, and ensuring seamless integration with downstream booking systems. Close collaboration with Sales and Trading stakeholders is essential to enhance the RFQ experience and support the complete deal lifecycle.
Business Requirement Analysis & Workshop Facilitation:
Organize and facilitate business workshops to collect and analyze requirements
Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize and decompose requirements into detailed user stories
Draft comprehensive Functional Specification documents with clear acceptance criteria
Maintain traceability between business needs and technical implementation
Process Analysis & Change Management
Analyze existing business processes and define optimized target processes
Identify process gaps and transformation opportunities
Define change management needs and support organizational adoption
Ensure alignment between process redesign and business objectives
Data Analysis & System Integration:
Identify golden sources of data across the enterprise landscape
Specify data mappings and transformations between systems
Document data lineage and ensure data quality requirements
Support data migration and reconciliation activities
Application Mapping & Impact Analysis:
Map application flows and dependencies within the PRICE ecosystem
Assess project impacts on upstream and downstream system integrations
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration
Maintain documentation of system interfaces and data flows
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
Maintain regular contact with developers to ensure requirements are well understood and correctly implemented
Act as liaison between business users and technical teams
Provide L3 functional support for complex issues
Foster collaboration between business stakeholders, Product Owner, and development team
Testing Strategy & Quality Assurance:
Define comprehensive testing strategy aligned with project scope
Contribute user scenarios for BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) activities
Participate actively in integration testing
Organize and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions
Assess functional change impacts on current production SLAs and OLAs
Production Deployment & Support:
Participate in production start-up activities and go-live preparation
Define functional prerequisites for deployment and post-deployment validation
Deliver user training sessions and create training materials
Ensure post-production follow-up and provide ongoing functional support
Monitor production performance and gather user feedback for continuous improvement
Knowledge Management & Team Enablement:
Build and maintain functional knowledge within the team in partnership with the PO
Provide functional training and onboarding for new team members
Maintain functional documentation and knowledge base for the PRICE application
Research existing solutions to avoid duplication and promote reuse
Must have
Master or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Programming & Systems Analysis/ Science (Computer Studies) faculties.
8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in market finance, with specific expertise in Front Office Fixed Income Rates products
Interest Rate Derivatives Expertise:
Deep expertise in Interest Rate Derivatives products (Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, Caps/Floors, FRAs, etc.)
Strong knowledge of pre-trade trading workflows and RFQ (Request For Quote) systems capture
Understanding of pricing models, yield curves, and risk metrics (DV01, duration, convexity)
Knowledge of Rates market conventions and day count conventions
Trading Systems & Platforms:
Knowledge of Front Office/Risk management systems (e.g., Orchestrade)
Familiarity with the MarkitWire Platform
Understanding of trading lifecycle from pre-trade through settlement
Experience with external data sources like Bloomberg and Reuters/Refinitiv
Market Data & Standards:
Relevant experience with FPML (Financial Products Markup Language) format
Expertise in static market data including reference data, price data, and market conventions
Knowledge of data types, sources, and uses within financial systems
Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge in Python for analytics and automation
Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data manipulation and analysis
Knowledge of DevOps practices (GitOps, Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (Elasticsearch, Kibana)
Ability to work with complex data structures and perform data quality analysis
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with multi-cultural team members
Strong interpersonal skills and proven team player mentality
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking systems
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity and problem-solving capabilities
Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals including prompt engineering, model limitations, and best practices for human-AI collaboration
Experience in evaluating AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, and alignment with business requirements
Ability to identify opportunities for AI integration and automation within existing workflows and processes
Nice to have
Experience with Equity products is a plus
