Project description

Own the business analysis for our Client's Aladdin Wealth implementation. Work with product and proposition owners, advisors, portfolio managers and Compliance to define what the business needs from the platform and why - across advisory journeys, proposal management, portfolio construction, suitability and portfolio monitoring.

Translate business needs into clear requirements, business rules and acceptance criteria. Partner with the Technical Analyst, who translates these into data, interface and system design for delivery.

This is role is requiring someone productive from the outset, with hands-on Aladdin Wealth implementation experience.

Responsibilities
bullet icon

PROPOSITION AND ADVISORY JOURNEY

bullet icon

Elicit and document business needs for advisory and discretionary offerings on Aladdin Wealth.

bullet icon

Map and assess end-to-end advisory journeys: client onboarding, discovery and profiling, proposal, approval, execution handoff, monitoring and review.

bullet icon

Define business roles, handoffs, approval authorities and service expectations with the relevant owners.

bullet icon

Compare current processes with the intended Aladdin Wealth operating model; recommend process changes where appropriate and document genuine product or implementation gaps.

bullet icon

PROPOSAL MANAGEMENT

bullet icon

Document and validate the required proposal lifecycle, including creation, versioning, comparison, approval, status changes, documents and audit trail, subject to the functionality in scope and available in the client setup.

bullet icon

Specify required proposal content: holdings, allocation, costs and charges, rationale and advisor commentary.

bullet icon

Elicit business rules for proposal expiry, revision or re-issue, rejection and partial acceptance; confirm feasibility and audit implications with product owners, Compliance and the Technical Analyst.

bullet icon

PORTFOLIO, RECOMMENDATION AND SUITABILITY REQUIREMENTS

bullet icon

Elicit and document requirements for model portfolios, house views, recommendations and rebalancing from the authorised investment and product owners; do not substitute for their investment decision-making.

bullet icon

Document restricted-product rules, advisor overrides and the rationale or evidence that must be captured.

bullet icon

Define business requirements for client profiling, suitability, portfolio risk alignment, drift and out-of-tolerance thresholds with the authorised business, investment and Compliance owners.

bullet icon

Specify desired monitoring and alerting: trigger, recipient, required advisor action and evidence of resolution.

bullet icon

Define business requirements for household and relationship hierarchies, aggregation and held-away or out-of-scope assets.

bullet icon

REGULATORY AND CONTROL

bullet icon

Work with Compliance and Risk to document requirements for suitability, appropriateness, cost and charges disclosure, mandate monitoring and applicable local regulation.

bullet icon

Define evidence and audit requirements for advice and confirm with Compliance how they should be met in the target process.

bullet icon

Represent the business in control and governance forums; record decisions and owners.

bullet icon

REQUIREMENTS, VALIDATION AND ADOPTION

bullet icon

Produce business requirements, process flows, business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria that delivery teams can build and test against.

bullet icon

Prioritise requirements with product owners and document scope trade-offs.

bullet icon

Specify what information the business needs to see and how it will be used; hand data definitions, mappings and interface requirements to the Technical Analyst.

bullet icon

Validate delivered workflows and business-visible data against approved requirements; raise discrepancies for investigation rather than making unverified technical assumptions.

bullet icon

Plan and run business UAT with advisors; own functional triage and business sign-off.

bullet icon

Support advisor readiness through training, super-user materials, communications, feedback sessions and post-go-live support.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

5+ years in business analysis or a comparable product/proposition role in wealth management, private banking or asset management.

bullet icon

Proven hands-on Aladdin Wealth implementation experience at scale from the business side. Direct experience is the primary selection criterion.

bullet icon

Practical experience with advisory workflows and proposal management in an Aladdin Wealth implementation.

bullet icon

Experience eliciting requirements from product, proposition, advisor or portfolio-management stakeholders and translating them into business rules and testable acceptance criteria.

bullet icon

Strong grounding in advisory and discretionary wealth propositions, portfolio construction, asset allocation, model portfolios and suitability.

bullet icon

Able to work with investment and Compliance owners without taking ownership of their regulated or investment decisions.

bullet icon

Experience with business process mapping, UAT, functional defect triage and stakeholder sign-off.

bullet icon

Credible with advisors, product owners, portfolio managers and Compliance; able to explain and challenge requirements constructively.

bullet icon

Jira, Confluence, Visio or Lucidchart; Excel. SQL is an advantage for independently checking business data.

Nice to have

bullet icon

Familiarity with risk information and portfolio insights presented in the candidate's Aladdin Wealth environment, and ability to explain them in business terms. This does not imply a requirement to configure or own a separate Aladdin Risk product.

bullet icon

Exposure to adjacent wealth platforms ( Avaloq , Temenos, FNZ, SimCorp, Charles River).

bullet icon

Relevant investment/advisory qualification; multi-jurisdiction experience.
