We are looking for a Requirements Engineer with a strong background in system testing to join our (ADAS) team to join our ADAS project with a German OEM. In this role, you will own the requirements lifecycle for a specific ADAS feature , from elicitation through refinement and formal specification, while also contributing directly to validation and system test activities. This dual-focus position bridges requirements engineering and verification/validation, ensuring that what is specified can be effectively and traceably tested.

Responsibilities

Collect, analyze, and refine stakeholder needs (OEM, system architects, function owners) for a defined ADAS feature

bullet icon

Write clear, unambiguous, and testable requirements at system and software level, following automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE)

bullet icon

Maintain requirement traceability across the V-model (from concept to test cases) using tools such as DOORS NG, Polarion, Jama, or Codebeamer

bullet icon

Manage requirement change requests, impact analysis, and version control

bullet icon

Collaborate with system architects to ensure requirements are technically feasible and consistent with the overall system design

bullet icon

Support requirement reviews, walkthroughs, and baselining activities

Derive test cases and test specifications directly from requirements

bullet icon

Support/perform system-level validation testing (HiL, SiL, vehicle-level, or test bench) for the assigned ADAS feature

Analyze test results, identify gaps between specification and actual system behavior, and feed findings back into requirement refinement

Contribute to test strategy and coverage analysis to ensure requirement-to-test traceability

Support defect analysis and root cause investigation in collaboration with development and test teams

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

4+ years of experience in automotive requirements engineering and/or system-level testing, with exposure to the full V-model development process

bullet icon

Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field

bullet icon

Experience in requirements engineering within automotive/embedded systems, ideally ADAS or active safety

bullet icon

Hands-on experience with system-level testing (HiL, SiL, or vehicle testing)

bullet icon

Familiarity with automotive standards: ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ASPICE, ISO 21448 (SOTIF).

Experience with requirement management tools (DOORS NG, Polarion, Jama Connect, or similar)

Understanding of the V-model development process

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in writing testable, traceable requirements

Good communication skills to work across cross-functional teams (development, system, test, safety)

Nice to have

Experience with specific ADAS features (AEB, ACC, LKA, Parking Assist, etc.)

Scripting/automation experience (Python) for test automation

Knowledge of sensor technologies (camera, radar, lidar) and sensor fusion
