• The Programmer/Coder is responsible for productionizing the in-house built Package Manager and supporting the implementation of development-related changes into UAT and PROD environments. This role focuses on coding, automation, packaging, and integration work required to deliver a scalable, secure, and maintainable Package Manager.

Mandatory office attendance - 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Implement, enhance, and productionize Node.js and oclif based application which acts as a Package Manager

Assess code rewrite effort using other more appropriate language for a desktop CLI application

bullet icon

Implement automation workflows that support developer workspace configuration and tooling deployment.

Build and integrate configuration services via a central dashboard which reports versions of installed applications/recipes across the package manager installation base

bullet icon

Contribute to the creation of a package manager and governance model for developer specific tooling.

Support rollout activities including:

UAT and PROD deployments

Documentation and knowledge transfer

End user communication and follow up

Collaborate with the Desktop DevEx Engineer to ensure alignment between tooling automation and endpoint engineering processes.

Assist in scripting and packaging tasks across macOS and Windows as needed.

Skills

Must have

3+ years of hands-on experience with the required technologies

Strong Node.js and oclif / bun development experience or other language like Rust or Go or C-family to rewrite existing node.js and oclif based application

Scripting: shell, PowerShell, Python

bullet icon

Software packaging for macOS and Windows

bullet icon

Familiarity with SDLC tooling, developer workflows, and automation frameworks

Experience integrating with enterprise systems (Intune, ServiceNow, Artifactory, CI/CD pipelines)
