The Program Test Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering a successful core banking migration. This position oversees the full testing lifecycle—from strategy and planning through execution and migration validation—across a complex, multi‑vendor program environment. The role requires deep expertise in core banking systems, strong governance capability, and the ability to manage large distributed teams. By ensuring rigorous testing, effective risk management, and seamless coordination across stakeholders, the Program Test Manager helps safeguard the quality and stability of the new banking platform throughout the migration journey.

Responsibilities

Lead the end‑to‑end testing strategy for a large‑scale core banking migration program.

Define and manage the overall test approach across SIT, E2E, Regression, NFT, Data Migration Testing, and Cutover Validation.

Oversee test planning, execution, defect triage, and quality assurance across multiple delivery streams.

Coordinate with program leadership, architects, engineering teams, business SMEs, and external vendors.

Manage test environments, data provisioning, and integration dependencies.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and risk requirements relevant to core banking systems.

Provide governance, reporting, dashboards, and insights to senior stakeholders and steering committees.

Lead and mentor distributed teams of test managers, test leads, and large testing squads.

Drive readiness for migration rehearsals, cutover, and post‑migration validation.

Identify risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to protect program timelines and quality outcomes.

Skills

Must have

Extensive experience as a Program Test Manager or Test Delivery Lead in major transformation programs.

bullet icon

Proven experience in core banking migration, including data migration, platform replacement, or system modernisation.

bullet icon

Strong understanding of core banking domains (deposits, lending, payments, cards, GL, customer systems).

bullet icon

Deep knowledge of testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and quality assurance practices.

bullet icon

Experience managing complex vendor landscapes and multi‑squad delivery models.

bullet icon

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

bullet icon

Ability to operate in high‑pressure, fast‑paced program environments.

Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or scaled delivery models (e.g., SAFe).

Nice to have

Experience with major core banking platforms (Temenos, Finacle, Hogan, SAP Banking, FIS, Fiserv, etc.).
