The role supports the Markets and Regulatory Reporting domain for a global banking client. The engagement focuses on defining the strategic approach for building a new Trade Reporting product within the broader Regulatory Reporting landscape.

The Product Owner / Product Manager will work with business stakeholders, regulatory experts, and technology teams to define the product vision, operating model, and delivery roadmap for the new solution. The role may initially operate as a short-term advisory engagement to help shape the product strategy, architecture direction, and implementation roadmap.

You are expected to bring strong experience in capital markets regulatory reporting and product development, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable product capabilities.

Responsibilities

Define the product vision and high-level strategy for a Trade Reporting platform within the Regulatory Reporting domain.

Work with business stakeholders to identify regulatory requirements, reporting obligations, and operational challenges.

Translate regulatory requirements into product capabilities and functional design concepts.

Develop the product roadmap, delivery strategy, and phased implementation approach.

Define key product components including data sourcing, reporting workflows, reconciliation, and controls.

Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to define the solution approach and system integration strategy.

Provide guidance on regulatory frameworks such as transaction reporting and post-trade reporting obligations.

Support the definition of the target operating model, governance structure, and product ownership model.

Facilitate workshops with stakeholders across business, compliance, technology, and operations teams.

Advise leadership on best practices for building scalable regulatory reporting platforms.

Skills

Must have

10+ Years experience in similar role

bullet icon

Strong experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in Capital Markets technology initiatives.

bullet icon

Deep understanding of Regulatory Reporting and Trade Reporting frameworks.

bullet icon

Experience defining product strategy, product roadmap, and platform design for regulatory or trade reporting solutions.

bullet icon

Good knowledge of trade lifecycle and post-trade processes across asset classes.

bullet icon

Experience working with cross-functional teams including business, compliance, and engineering.

bullet icon

Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.

bullet icon

Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into product features and technical requirements.

Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Nice to have

Experience with EMIR, MiFID II, ASIC, MAS, or other global trade reporting regulations.
