As an Expert-Level Murex Technical Business Analyst, you will lead the analysis, design, and delivery of solutions across trading, risk, and operations modules within the Murex platform. You will act as a bridge between business analysts and technical teams, ensuring robust, scalable, and compliant implementations.

Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders and business analysts across Business Units, risk, and operations to gather and analyse requirements.

Translate business needs and functional specifications into technical design documents.

bullet icon

Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new initiatives and change requests.

bullet icon

Lead configuration and customization of Murex modules (e.g., MxML, MxG2000, Datamart, Market Data, Simulation, Workflow).

bullet icon

Provide expert-level support in trade booking, pricing, risk analytics, and P&L reporting.

bullet icon

Collaborate with Murex vendor and internal teams to resolve complex issues.

bullet icon

Validate Murex configurations and interfaces through test case creation and execution.

bullet icon

Support defect triage and resolution across environments.

bullet icon

Design and validate interfaces with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data providers, settlement systems).

bullet icon

Support data migration, reconciliation, and environment setup activities.

bullet icon

Support project downstream integration tracking and technical reporting.

bullet icon

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

5+ years of experience in application functionality, preferably in the banking/treasury industry.

bullet icon

Experience MX3.1 (Front Office: FXMM, Fixed Income, Equities Product Knowledge, Middle Office Risk: MLC, VaR & Market Data, Back Office & datamart modules.

Experienced in end-to-end flow, including life cycle flows of the trades.

bullet icon

Experienced and knowledgeable in Treasury products.

bullet icon

Experienced in the configuration of the Murex applications.

Murex Application MX3.1.

bullet icon

SQL Experienced in coding and programming.

bullet icon

Murex Datamart Configuration & Development.

bullet icon

MxML data dictionary for workflows and templates.

bullet icon

OSP configurations.

bullet icon

Pre-trade rules.

bullet icon

Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, risk management, and regulatory reporting. (e.g., FRTB, EMIR, MiFID).

Experience working with front-office, risk, and operations stakeholders.

bullet icon

Proficiency in SQL, XML, Unix/Linux scripting, and job scheduling tools.

Experience with integration protocols (MQ, FpML, REST/SOAP APIs).

Experience in Murex 3.1 as DataMart and MxML Consultant with more than 2 to 6 years of experience is required.

Good understanding and working experience of designing and implementing Datamart and MxML.

Good understanding on the data model differences between Mx 2.11 and Mx 3.

Experience in Simulation-based Reports and Risk Matrix-based reports, complex reports would be required.
