We've been engaged by a large European Bank to provide resources to their Murex program.

Joining this program you will have the benefit of working with an established client team, fully involved in the project initiation through to project implementation.

Responsibilities

You will work with an established team of Murex Test Analysts across India and onshore locations, owning functional testing activities with a strong emphasis on Back Office workflows and end-to-end trade life cycle validation.

Daily responsibilities include:

Perform in-depth functional analysis of products, workflows, and Murex modules with specific focus on BO processes

bullet icon

Define stream-level test strategy and approach covering FO–MO–BO end-to-end flows

bullet icon

Design, configure, execute, and report SIT and UAT test cycles

bullet icon

Validate end-to-end trade life cycle, including trade capture, confirmations, settlements, accounting, and reporting

bullet icon

Configure and execute trade insertion, event processing, settlement instructions, SWIFT message validation, and reconciliation reports

bullet icon

Perform detailed testing of settlement processes, cash flows, and nostro reconciliations

bullet icon

Work closely with business analysts, developers, and vendors to analyze and resolve functional defects

bullet icon

Review, validate, and quality assure test cases with focus on business accuracy and regulatory completeness

bullet icon

Support and guide junior analysts in day-to-day testing and functional understanding

The automated testing platform used by the client is MxTest.

Skills

Must have

bullet icon

4+ years of hands-on Murex functional testing experience

bullet icon

Strong functional understanding of Capital Markets products with clear exposure to FX, FI, IRD, and Money Markets

bullet icon

Strong Back Office domain knowledge

bullet icon

Ability to clearly explain and validate end-to-end trade life cycle, including booking, events, settlement, accounting, and reporting

bullet icon

Good understanding of settlement processes, payment flows, and nostro reconciliations

bullet icon

Hands-on exposure to SWIFT message types (MT/MX) related to settlements and confirmations

bullet icon

Experience performing MO validations such as OSP checks, lifecycle events, and controls with clear functional reasoning

bullet icon

Experience in defining test strategies and planning for small to medium-sized enhancements

bullet icon

Ability to build detailed and structured test scenarios based on client requirements

bullet icon

Strong understanding of standard testing practices with exposure to Murex-specific testing best practices

bullet icon

Comfortable working with client stakeholders and prioritizing work based on business criticality

bullet icon

Ability to articulate responses clearly and provide structured explanations during discussions

bullet icon

Capability to mentor junior analysts and review their work outputs

Nice to have

Experience in MxTest / ONYX experience would be a plus.
