Develop mechatronic components and systems in collaboration with an automotive client.
Design and develop Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL) test rigs.
Assemble and integrate test rigs and Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
Design electrical harnesses and develop loadboxes and interface boxes.
Set up, commission, and maintain hardware, managing lifecycle processes.
Enhance testing capabilities and execute rig-to-vehicle porting activities.
Apply expertise in mechatronics, sensor integration, wiring, connectivity, power distribution, and connector design.
Conduct electronics troubleshooting and hardware validation.
Assemble rig cabinets and ensure proper mechanical and electrical integration.
Must have
The candidate is expected to apply their expertise in automotive project environments, focusing on rig maintenance and effective fault tracing techniques. They will utilize communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, and LIN to support system integration and diagnostics. Proficiency with specialized tools including CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, DSA, Matlab, Simulink, GT Suite, and IPG Carmaker is essential for simulation and testing tasks. Familiarity with systems like KDP, Pecca Procost, VPC, VIRA, and TcE will contribute to overall project effectiveness. The role requires a valid driving license and a solid understanding of System Safety concepts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Hard skills:
Maintain and troubleshoot automotive rigs using advanced diagnostic tools.
Implement and analyze communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, OBD).
Conduct simulations with Matlab, Simulink, GT Suite, and IPG Carmaker.
Utilize dSPACE software suites including AutomationDesk, ControlDesk, and ConfigurationDesk for control and automation tasks.
Develop and automate test procedures using Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, CAPL, vTESTstudio, and VT Systems.
Apply programming languages Python and C# within CI/CD pipelines managed through Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git.
Hands-on command-line expertise, including:
System administration and OS installation/updates
File system and folder structure management
Firmware flashing and system troubleshooting
Shell scripting (Bash/Python) for automation
Soft skills:
Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary automotive project teams.
Communicate technical information clearly across various stakeholders.
Apply safety principles diligently to maintain system reliability and compliance.
Adapt to evolving project requirements and tools with a proactive mindset.

Optional skills:
Practical experience with EMC/EMI and relevant automotive standards, demonstrating familiarity with electromagnetic compatibility requirements.
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including their design and operation.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) or ASPICE, reflecting understanding of safety and process standards.
Familiarity with ISO 16750, indicating awareness of environmental testing criteria for automotive components.
Proficiency in CAD tools for design and modeling purposes.
Understanding of propulsion systems within vehicles.
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles and their applications.
Experience with human-machine interface (HMI) systems.
Familiarity with body systems of vehicles.
Understanding of core vehicle systems.
Awareness of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
